"you're positive that was dart?" lucas asked whilst we were walking back from the old junkyard.
"yes. he had the exact same yellow pattern on his butt." dustin replied. me and max were walking along, hand in hand with her head in my shoulder.
"he was tiny two days ago." max said, putting her arm around me and removing her head from my shoulder.
"well, he's moulted three times already." dustin answered.
"malted?" steve asked, not understanding.
"moulted. shed his skin to make room for growth like hormones."dustin corrected and explained to him.
"when's he gonna most again?" i questioned.
"it's gotta be soon. when he does, he'll be fully grown or close to it. and so will his friends." dustin replied.
"yeah and he's gonna eat a lot more than just cats." steve said.
"wait, a cat? dart ate a cat?" lucas asked.
"no, what? no." he lied.
"what are you talking about? he ate mews." steve said, mews being dustin's cat.
"mews? who's mews?" max asked.
"it's dustin's cat." steve said.
"steve!" dustin shouted.
"i knew it! you kept him!" lucas shouted.
"no! no." dustin lied again.
"no, i... no, i ... he missed me. he wanted to come home." dustin told.
"bullshit!" yelled lucas.
"i didn't know he was a demogorgan, okay?"
"oh, so now you admit it." they argued.
"guys who cares? we have to go." i butted in.
"i care! you put the party in jeopardy! you broke the rule of law!"
"so did you! you told a stranger the truth!" dustin pointed to max.
"a stranger?" she scoffed.
"dustin cut it out!" i shouted, trying to defend max.
" you wanted to tell her too!" lucas yelled.
"yeah but i didn't lucas, okay? i didn't tell her! we both broke the rule of law, okay? so we're even. we're even."
"no no! we're not even. don't even try that. your stupid pet could of ate us for dinner!"
"that was not my fault!"
"guys?" steve said.
"guys!" he shouted, causing the boys to stop arguing and get their attention.
that was when we heard screeching. i grabbed max's hand and we walked towards the noise.
"no, no,no. hey, guys, why are we headed towards the sound?" she said, stopping us.
"hello?" she said.
"hello?" i shouted, but they wasn't paying attention to us so i just sighed and we followed them.
"i don't see him." dustin said, us looking pig onto a field.
"it's the lab. they were going back home." lucas said, with his binoculars sitting on his face.
we were walking towards the lab when we saw nancy and johnathan.
"what are you doing here?" nancy asked.
"what are you doing here?" steve asked the same question.
"we're looking for mike and will." nancy said.
"wait your looking for them?" i asked.
"yeah, have you not heard from them?" johnathan asked. i shook my head.
"they're not in there, are they?" dustin asked, nodding towards the lab.
"we're not sure." nancy said.
"why?" asked johnathan.
the creatures screamed again whilst we all turned towards the lab, me and max looking at each other.
we were all talking when nancy walked over towards the fence slightly.
"the powers back." she said, all the lights suddenly turning on. we all ran over to johnathan's car near the entrance, and he was trying to unlock the gates using the button. however, it wasn't working, so dustin butted in. but it still didn't work hem dustin was trying.
"son of a bitch! you know what..."
suddenly, it opened.
"hey, i got it!" dustin chuckled, proud of himself.
me, steve, max, lucas and dustin stayed where the gate was, waiting for them to get back. we was bored until max called us.
"guys?" she said, two cars coming towards us beeping their horns. we quickly moved out the way when johnathans car came past, but hopper stopped in his police can and told us to get in.
we were all back at joyce's house, hopper on the phone, johnathan talking to will who was passed out, nancy pacing up and down the room, and us, aka the party, sitting at the table, me and max sitting on the table, once again, playing with each other's hair. we had just told mike about us, and he was very supportive. he told me he loved me no matter who i liked. i hugged him and thanked him.
"they didn't believe you, did they?" i asked hopper, as everyone in the lab had died.
"we'll see." he replied.
"we'll see? we can't just sit here while these things are loose!" mike shouted.
"we stay here, and we wait for help." hop told him. then, he walked away going to talk to joyce. i felt so horrible for her, her boyfriend bob had just got eaten by demogorgans.
