"Hurry up Y/n, it'll have started already!"

You picked up your shoes, running barefoot to the car quickly. You jumped in next to your friends, giggling with them. You slammed the car door, punched in your seatbelt and the taxi driver took off.

"I can't believe he got a gig!" Your friend, Alyssa exclaimed. You nodded, taking out a handheld mirror and examining your makeup.

You and your friends were heading to Alyssa's brothers first gig with his band. His name was Drift, and he was playing the drums. You hadn't heard the band actually play, but from how Alyssa had hyped them up, they must've been some good.

"I've got his extra drumsticks incase he loses them again" Your other friend, Karl said as he held up some drumsticks.

"Your eyelashes is wonky hold on" You said, fixing Karl's eyelash. He blinked as you stuck the corner back on.

"My mum and dad are already there, and they haven't started yet" Alyssa said, flashing her phone at you.

"Thank God, we should be there on time" You sighed in relief, fixing your shoes on.

"Is there going to be drink?" Karl asked, popping chewing gum in his mouth.

"Apparently Drifts friend was able to convince them to have alcohol being served, so yeah" Alyssa replied.

"Who's even in the band?" You asked.

"Drift is on drums, Jonesy is on bass and then Midas is lead guitar and the singer" Alyssa replied, relaxing back in the taxi seat.

"I don't know them I don't think?"

"They're Juniors, they're older then us. And plus apparently Midas is a bit of trouble, so he wouldn't really hang around with younger people" Alyssa said, looking at her nails.

"What do you mean trouble?" Karl asked.

"He's just bad. He's already got two full sleeves of tattoos at the age of 17, and has scars and bruises all over him from fighting with plugs. It's a wonder he's in a band and not lying in a ditch" Alyssa sneered.

"Is he handsome?" Karl asked, smirking.

"You could say that. But I still wouldn't go for him Karl" Alyssa said, rather warning her friend.

"It's fine. I've got my eyes on Jonesy tonight" Karl winked, making you both giggle.

You finally arrived at the venue, an underground pub with a stage area. A lot of people from your high school were here, which was a shock. The band must've actually been pretty good.

You headed inside, seeing Alyssas parents sitting around a table with another pair of adults.

"Alyssa! Over here!" Her dad called, waving you all over. You walked over, pulling a chair beside them.

"This is Jonesy's parents" Alyssa's mum said, nodding towards the two other adults who waved.

"We're so excited to finally see Jonesy do something other then sit in his room all day!" Jonesy's dad exclaimed, laughing to his partner.

"Us too! Drifts finally come out of himself. I'm glad all the boys are doing something with their lives" Alyssa's mum laughed.

"What about the other tall kid? Where's his parents?" Alyssa's dad asked, crossing his arms.
