Me and You

When I see you, my heart starts to flutter,

It flutters so fast it feels as if my heart has wings of a hummingbird,

Whenever your brown eyes connect with mine, I turn into butter,

Your eyes are the galaxy, hiding and shielding everything behind each complex unit of measure out there,

Sooner or later, those eyes will have to choose to stare into mine or to stare into nothing at all,

I know this seems selfish, but it's just preventing us from a devastating fall.

Immense love we seek,

Where shall we meet?

For there is a whole in my heart and it's creating a leak,

A leak of love that cannot be stopped, and yet there is no one to love,

Loneliness is abounding heavily,

So when I greet you, I'll greet you happily.

I've fallen in love in the past,

I might regain that trust I know have in you,

Because now I know that this was built to last,

I also regain hope for us,

Maybe, just maybe, you love me and I love you,

Maybe, just maybe, we'll be together, me and you.
