HOLLY HAD FINALLY convinced richie to let her go back to her house. it's not like she wanted to go back there, she didn't have much of a choice.

she promised him that if anything happened she would go straight to his house.

"if they hit you, hit them back." richie told her. her head whipped in his direction.

"are you crazy? they'd probably kill me!" she hissed. richie sighed.

"you didn't let me finish," he glared in her direction. the blonde girl rolled her eyes, "after you hit them, run."

"i think i'll skip step one- and maybe instead of running i'll just walk out." she said with a nod.

"i still think my plan is better." richie said as the pair stopped in front of her house. she only stared at it. it felt like ages since she's last been there but in reality, it's only been a few hours.

"i disagree with you." she said dropping her bike onto the ground, she picked it back up and kicked the kickstand up. "see you tomorrow, rich." she said, waving.

"see ya'." he said with a small smile, "if anything happens-"

"go straight to your house, got it." she said throwing him a thumbs up. he watched her walk into her house which took her longer than it usually would. after that he left.

HOLLY LAID AWAKE that night. luckily when she had arrived home, nobody was downstairs or in the kitchen, so she went straight to her room not even bothering to go back down not even for dinner. instead, she did her summer essay. which she would usually save for the last week of summer but she was just so bored she did whatever.

her eyes were glued to her ceiling as she held her pillow in her arms. more thoughts than usual ran through her mind. she missed jenny. what would life be like if she was never taken from her parents?

her parents. her memory of them was slowly slipping away. the memory was fading which feared her. soon enough she'd grow old and forget all about them- that's if she never found them by then.
