The battle went on for hours. Ever since the villains appeared and wreaked havoc in the Kanto region, everything started falling apart.

The giant monster that Shigaraki brought in has crushed buildings with one charge, pulverized the landscape around him with just a step and destroyed countless cities.

At that point, I was scared that we weren't able to win this. Let alone survive this. Countless pro-heroes had already died or been badly injured on the scene, including some of my classmates. And here I am, standing on the sidelines at the safe area in the forest, not doing anything to protect them or even help them. Even Kaminari is fighting in the front lines. But seeing how much damage the pro-heroes took in: burned by Dabi's flames, impaled due to flying debris, losing limbs to the Nomus. It makes me wonder how Kaminari is doing now. I hope he's ok...

Hearing an enormous presence approach, I yelled to the other heroes that were with me to take cover. And then everything went blank.

In a blink of an eye, I was up in the sky. I looked around dazed to see so many of our great heroes, thrown like rag dolls just because of that one giant. We were way up in the clouds. High enough that you could see the whole area. It wasn't green or anything pretty. It was all destroyed. Brown with spots of black, most likely due to Dabi's fire.

Wow. I thought to myself. That giant really is something... He did that much damage in just a couple of hours. What if we can't-

I thought to myself until a familiar voice interrupted me.

"JIROU!" they called out.

Turning my head to the left. I saw Kaminari.

"Kaminari?! Aren't you supposed to be near the frontlines?"

"Hah? I tried to come to you guys and tell you that that giant monster was coming towards you. But I was too late."

I looked to the side in despair and asked him, "What should we do. Just by looking from up here, you can tell that that monster is way out of our league. Maybe too big of a problem for even the pro-heroes to stop... WHAT IF... What if we can't survive this."

. Kaminari launched himself towards me, caught me in his arms and hugged me, stopping me from saying anything more.

"No. no. no. no. no. no. Jirou, don't think like that. We can stop this. I can stop this." Kaminari said confidently.

Thinking of the only thing Kaminari could do in this situation, I called out to him shouting, "Kaminari. If I'm thinking what you're thinking, don't do it. Don't you dare do it."

"Jirou, it's the only way! If I can just get on him somehow, near the other villains. I can electrocute them like that thing that we did when the villains attacked us at school. The human stun gun!"

"Kaminari. Think about it! You can't even survive 2 million volts! If you do more than that you- " I held myself back and clenched my hands to his shirt because I didn't want to say the word. I didn't even want to think about it. I can't even imagine Kaminari dying. I don't want to imagine it.

"Jirou," he said as he cupped my face with his hands, "If I don't, everyone will be fighting through hell. I have to do this. For you, our classmates, the pro-heroes and everyone else."

I felt his hands tremble as he clenched my jacket from behind in one more hug, knowing that he was scared and afraid. How can he act so brave when he's this terrified, shaking inside? Why would he be saying all of this even if he's scared? Why are you doing this to yourself Denki...
