"Do you, Emmett Bledsoe, take Bay Kennish as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, through sickness and in health?"
"I do." Emmett spoke. His deep, unused voice made Bay fall madly in love with him all over again. She was so proud of him. He was becoming amazing at talking, and whilst he still mostly signed, sometimes, in the middle of the night, she would hear him mumble in his sleep, "I love you, Bay," and pull her closer.
"And do you, Bay Kennish, take Emmett Bledsoe as your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health?"
She looked up at him and smiled. He smiled back. They had been dreaming of this moment for as long as they could remember. Two words, and they would be bound together for the rest of their lives.
"I do."
"I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Emmett leaned down, and his lips gently made contact with Bay's. When their lips touched, she felt a shock, like a mini bolt of electricity. Obviously, they had kissed many times before, but this kiss was different from all the other ones. This kiss was their first as a married couple, but they knew it would be followed by many more.

"So how do you like the view?" Emmett leaned over and kissed her.
"I don't know. I'm not really paying attention to anything other than my beautiful wife."
Her heart fluttered. Emmett had that effect on her like no one else did.Everything he said or did was romantic and loving. Ugh! She wished she could say things like that to show him how much she cared. But Emmett was the poet here, so she simply kissed him back, and pulled his arms around her.
For their honeymoon, Bay and Emmett had decided to go somewhere photogenic and artistic. J&K had offered to pay for a vacation in Europe, but they both agreed they just wanted to go on a short trip to San Francisco. Emmett wanted to take pictures of the Golden Gate bridge, and she was planning on getting some inspiration from Chinatown.
After visiting both, they went back to their hotel, and hung out, watching captioned movies and eating room service. This really was their perfect honeymoon.

"That's the last box."
Goodness, it had taken them a while to unpack their things. Her art stuff took up more space than all of Emmett's clothes combined. Now that she thought about it, she might need to go through her oversized collection of brushes, canvas, and different paints, and get rid of some stuff. Not a lot, but a few things.
Emmett rounded the corner of the porch, carrying his camera. He had wanted to get some shots of the house to send to his and her parents. They had been dying to see it.
"Everything's unpacked, finally?"
"Yes, finally. Did you know there are these things called closets, and they're like giant suitcases, and you can hang your clothes up, not keep them folded up for three monthes!" She jokingly said.
"Haha. Very funny. But, if I remember clearly, which I do, I was not the person who couldn't figure out the curtain rods. If my memory is correct, it was you." He pointed towards her, grinning.
"Point taken."
She turned away from Emmett to admire her artwork, which was hung all throughout the house. Emmett grabbed her from behind, and embraced her, keeping her safe in his arms.
She was proud of her home, although she would need to find a way to make it a little less quiet.

Their first Christmas together. Since all their family was in KC, she and Emmett opened gifts by themselves. But that didn't mean it was any less special and fun. Sure, they didn't have Daphne's cooking, or Kennish Karoake, but they had each other. After Facetiming the family, they exchanged gifts. She had given Emmett a new lense he had been wanting, and he gave her a...
"Seriously Emmett, another scarf?" She said jokingly, as they both knew it was not a scarf. He smiled, and as he had before, all those years ago when he had surprised her with the billboard with her art on it for her birthday, he tied the blindfold over her eyes, and lead her to their car. They drove for a while, until, finally Emmett pulled over and parked at some strange mysterious location. He helped her out and led her over to his gift. He removed the blindfold, and she saw a beautiful image of her and Emmett on their wedding day projected on the blank, unexciting wall. Except, this picture was different. For starters, he had added random color everywhere, so no white was seen. Second, in the corner, it read,
Bay,
from the moment I saw you, I've been in love with you. I know this romance of ours hasn't been easy, and we've both made more mistakes than we can remember, but I want to spend my life with you. I always knew one day I'd wake up and see you. And my dreams came true when you said 'I do.' Because we are a power couple, Bay, we really are. If there's one thing you will remember me saying, make sure it's
I JUST WANT YOU.
Your loving husband,
EmmettShe cried and faced the most amazing man she had ever met.
"I just want you too." She signed and spoke. And they kissed passionately. She loved this man, really loved him, and she knew he would be an amazing support in their next adventure.

"Happy anniversary, sweetheart. I can't believe it's been a year since we were married. So much has happened."
She smiled, nodding her head in agreement.
"Definately."
"Let's make a toast to us." Emmett said. He looked expectantly at her.
"Well?"
"Oh right. To us."
"To us."
Wow. His voice made her heart melt everytime she heard it.
"Here, I have something for you." Emmett handed her a small box. Inside was a locket with the engraving "Bay and Emmett" on the front.
"Open it!" His signing was quick, showing her he was eager for her to see what was inside.
She opened it. Inside, there was the same picture of their wedding day as he had shown at Christmas. Above, "One Day I'll Wake Up and See You" was engraved in tiny letters.
"This is beautiful, Emmett, it really is. I actually have something for you too, something a little more life-changing."
"Bay, you didn't have to get me anything."
"Oh, don't worry. You helped me with this gift."
She handed him a silver gift bag. He opened it, and almost cried at what was inside. A positive pregnancy test. "Is this real? Are you serious?"
"Emmett, I'm pregnant."*
