I finally am updating a story!! I'm really sorry, but I've just had so much writers block lately. Also, I changed the baby's name because I like the name Logan better. Yeah, as you may have noticed, I kinda gave up on the yearly thing. Also I don't own Switched at Birth, I just own Logan and the story line. Enjoy!

                              (Goodness that took a while)
                              October 2021
                              Bay's POV
Logan may have only been a month old, but he was LOUD. For one of the first times ever, she was honestly jealous of Emmett's deafness. So while he was fast asleep, she was forced out of her bed seven times a night, (on a good night), to feed Bailey and put him back to sleep. That required a skill, which she didn't exactly have. Yet.
She had finally gone to sleep when she woke up, again, to the sound of him crying. Goodness gracious gosh. This child was a maniac! Nothing would quiet him. Absolutely nothing.
She climbed out of the bed, and reached over the side of the crib to pick up her son.
"Shhhh baby, shhhhh. Please don't cry. No, really. Please don't. I have work tomorrow and I really need some sleep, so between you and me let's quit this charade, and you be quiet and I'll get a lot of sleep and be forever grateful."
But, of course, Logan didn't hear that. And had he, he wouldn't have understood a word she had said.
She continued to rock him in her arms as she was pulled into the outstretched arms of her loving husband. She had probably woken him up as she was getting out of the bed. She wasn't the most graceful at getting out of beds. She often times threw the sheets into his face or hit the ground too hard. So, she wasn't surprised he was there behind her.
"You know you can wake me up if you ever need a break," he signed. "I don't mind letting you sleep more if it means you won't be a grouch in the morning."
"I've tried. You don't know how sound a sleeper you are. You could sleep through an earthquake! Plus, Logan's crying would still wake me up, and it's easier if I just take care of him, then bug you."
"Bay, you've never bugged me."
She smiled. He always knew the right thing to say, however the baby was still crying, and he wasn't showing any signs of stopping.
"Here, let me see him." Bay handed the baby into Emmett's outstretched arms.
Within minutes, the baby was completely silent.
"How did you do that?" Bay exclaimed.
"I guess he just likes me," Emmett said with a grin.
"Quick, let's put him back to bed so we can get some sleep," Bay headed in the direction of her bed, but just as Emmett set Logan back into his crib, he woke up and started crying again.
"Oh my god!"
"It's okay Bay," Emmett said as he picked Logan up again and sat down in the bed, Bay following suit. Logan immediately quieted down again. Emmett and Bay proceeded to lie back down, Logan still in Emmett's arms. Eventually, they both fell asleep.
When they woke up again a few hours later out of habit, Logan was lying face up in between them. Bay gently lifted him up and set him in his crib.
This time he stayed asleep.
