(FYI This chapter has a lot more Bemmett fluff and is kind of lovey-dovey, so...)

Emmett's POV

February 2021 (continued)

"How far along are you?" He asked. He was ecstatic, but also worried. "When did you find out?"

"I'm only three months, and I only kept it from you because I wanted it to be a special surprise."

"Well it certainly is special. This is amazing! I can't wait for our little Bledsoe to arrive!" He leaned across the table and kissed her. He couldn't believe he was going to be a dad. He and Bay had always wanted a family, and now they were going to start one. Hopefully the baby would look like Bay. A mini Bay. That would be the best thing in the world.

April 2021

5 months along...

Today they were going in for an ultrasound to find out the gender of the baby. He rapped on the bathroom door to see if Bay was okay. He couldn't hear it, but he knew that lately when she was in the bathroom for long periods of time it usually meant morning sickness. Bay opened the door. She was pale and looked like she'd just been sick, (which she had), but in his eyes she was still the most beautiful woman in the world.

"You okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, just dandy," she signed back, with a forced smile. "Come on, let's go to this ultrasound."

Emmett helped her into the car and then sat in the driver's seat. Although the car they had was nice, he sure did miss his motorcycle. He had left it in KC as it was too expensive to ship to LA. One day, he would go back and visit and maybe take his new baby on a ride around town. If Bay would let him. It wasn't even a question. He knew she would.

"So what do you want the baby to be?" she asked, breaking the silence. "I want a little boy. Red hair and deep blue eyes. He would be as handsome as his daddy."

Emmett smiled. "I want a mini Bay."

"Still?" She pretended to look dismayed. "Why can't you want a mini Emmett like I do?"

"To be honest, I don't even really care what gender, because whatever the baby is, it's still 50% you, which means 50% mini Bay."

Bay laughed.  "You will just not quit on this dream of yours."

He grinned. "I would never quit on you."

"I know." She smiled back.

June 2021

(6 months along...)

"Bay, you're not supposed to be up there!" It was no use. He had told her six times to get off the ladder and let him finish painting the nursery, but Bay was adamant about doing it herself, and when Bay was set on something, nothing in the universe could stop her.

"Emmett I'm almost done! Goodness!" She wasn't signing as her hands were full of brushes and paint cans, but he caught the geist of what she was saying.

She had decided on a pale, sunny yellow. Emmett had let her do all the planning for the nursery. She was the artist, after all. He was simply the guy who put all the furniture together.

"There! All done." The shade brightened the room, and complimented the white furniture theme nicely. "It looks pretty good, huh?"

"Bay, will you get off that ladder now, before you, I don't know, fall off and die."

"Fine." She trudged down off the ladder, somewhat cautiously. "I think our little boy will love his new room when he sees it."

"I think he will too." He was excited for a boy. He had wanted a mini Bay, but he was pleased Bay had gotten what she wanted, and hey, Emmett Jr. had a nice ring to it.
