"Where the hell are you bringing me you stupid car?!" the blond shouted at the rental vehicle. He was coming back from his friend's girlfriend's house. They were celebrating her birthday late due to her not being here. Katsuki had decided to go home earlier than anyone else because 1) it was way past his bedtime (it was 9:30 pm) and 2) it was starting to rain and he didn't want to get caught up in a possible storm. So, now, here he was, in the car that the garage had given him because his was in repairs. There was only one problem. Since he had always relied on the GPS of his car to go back home because he didn't bother to learn the way, he'll need to use the device again. But, different car means different route.
That's how he ended up in this shabby area. The type that you shouldn't be in at night, in the dark, alone. It gave him the creeps. An uneasy feeling filled him up, sending shivers up and down his spine.
With the rain, being slightly tipsy from the party and being too focused on the place he had wound up in, he didn't notice that someone had run right in front of the car. He didn't break fast enough and hit whoever it was. Instantly, he jumped out, mumbling, "Shit. Please don't be dead please don't be dead please don't be-" and with the help of his headlights, he looked down to see a rather young looking, skinny boy lying there, on the hard concrete, with his eyes closed. He quickly crouched down to check if he still had a pulse and sighed in relief when he felt one. Standing back up, he got out his phone and called the ambulance.
Soon enough, he was following the blaring sirens to the hospital. They had brought the injured boy in and said he could go back home for the night, they'd tell him all the details of the mystery boy's condition in the morning.Bakugou got up the next morning with a bit of a headache. As he's getting his usual morning coffee he recalls all the unexpected events of the night before. Soon enough, he remembers he has to go check up on the person he injured.
He lazily put on some jogging pants and an ordinary white t-shirt and made his way to the car that started this whole mess.
When he had finally arrived, he met up with the doctor that he had seen the night before. "Good morning sir. I didn't really get to properly introduce myself yesterday. I'm Dr. Kyo" he says, stretching out his hand with a smile. The blond does the same and shakes it, saying, "Katsuki Bakugou. Nice to meet you". "Likewise! So, the condition of the patient is not anything too severe so you don't have to worry about that! He has a sprained wrist and 3 stitched up cuts. He's currently sleeping because we want him to get the most rest possible. Though, we've found some rather...peculiar things. First of all, as we were examining him for any further injuries, we noticed he has large scars on his back that look to me as they were caused by a whip. He has smaller one's all over his body too. He seems to be malnourished as well. When I saw all those things I decided to check his file but all I found was his name and age. He's called Izuku Midoriya and he's 23. There is no information on his parents or place where he might be staying. So in other words, he has no parents, apparently hasn't had a nice past and is currently homeless" the doctor explains in a sad tone. "Oh well that's quite tragic to hear, I hope he's found a safe place to shelter himself anyway. Though I am extremely sorry, I'm going to have to leave, I have work in 30 minutes and I'm the boss, I can't be late. If you'd please send me the bills for his treatment, I'll cover everything since it is my fault. Have a good day" he gets ready to leave but is stopped by a hand wrapping itself around his wrist. He turns around and the brown haired doctor speaks, "Please wait sir! Uh we have a problem. We are not allowed to keep patients that aren't severely injured. In this case, he is not. We will have to make him leave to have space for those that are in urgent need of it. I know this is ridiculous but I need to ask, would it be possible for him to stay with you?" he hesitantly brings his gaze up to meet Bakugou's fierce eyes. He seemed a bit taken aback by the sudden request but soon answered, "I'm sorry doctor but no, that is not possible. I have a busy life and don't have the time to take care of-" "Please Mr Bakugou, we'll have to put him back on the streets and we won't know if he's taking care of himself. It'll only be until he heals, you're free to make him leave after that." he pleads. Katsuki looks to his right to see the fragile boy and studies him. The way his hair looked like it hadn't been cut in years, his eyebrows that were furrowed like he was having a bad dream but his face that looked so peaceful, the way his cheeks are too sinked in for it to be normal. This guy could really use a meal or two, it's as if there's only bones on his body. Just a few days, a week at most, wouldn't hurt too bad right?
The blond sighs, turning to the hopeful doctor and breathes out a soft,"Fine"
