A Tale of Two Sisters: The Secrets Within

XV: Rani

"S-sister!?" Rani exclaimed staring at the blonde haired girl in front of her. They were almost twins except that Myla had brown eyes, and she herself piercing has blue ones.
"Yeah, I guess so." Myla responded.
"Well i'm going to head to my room, seeing as this day can't get any weirder."
"Can I come?" Myla asked, not wanting to make this seem awkward.
"Yeah, sure, whatever." Rani said, not caring what she did. Myla walked fast to catch up to her and followed her up the stairs and into her room.
"Nice room." Her sister breathed as she looked around. Rani snorted.
"What, you don't have this much space in your room?"
"Well excuse me. You didn't grow up in an apartment on the tenth floor with only two, and might I add, small rooms." Myla retorted. Rani stopped cold. There was only one other person who could think of creative, and snarky remarks that quickly, and that person was Jackie.
But she's your sister.
No wonder why she can retort almost as well as you.
Almost, though. She corrected herself. Asche squawked from the rafters, making Myla jump. She looked up and immediately spied the phoenix in there.
"Is that a phoenix? A blue one to be exact?" Myla breathed.
"Well, duh, what else would it be, a parrot?" Rani retorted. She needed to see how the new girl reacted to and withstood pressure.
Myla shook her head. "So it's a phoenix then, eh? Cool. What's its name?"
"It's a he, and his name is Asche." Rani responded.
"Nice. And do you even care that I'm your sister?"
"Meh."
"If you feel that way that's no problem for me, I'm fine with heading back home again." Myla stated, then walked out of her sisters' room. She didn't intend to head back home right away, instead she would just explore the castle. After Myla left, Rani sat on her bed, alone in her room wondering if Myla actually decided to go back home. About thirty minutes later, Frey walked up to her room and she immediately invited him in.
"Heyy, so whats up?" She asked.
"Eh, nothing much." He responded and sat on the floor in front of her. "What about you?"
"Surprise, surprise, I have a sister." She said.
"Seriously? That's amazing!" He exclaimed.
"Eh, maybe, maybe not." Rani got up and started pacing the room. Frey got up as well.
"What's bothering you? I know something is, so don't tell me no." He asked.
"It's just, I'm wondering how this will affect the kingdom, well, when I inherit the throne and all." She stopped her pacing in front of him.
"Don't worry about it, it's in the future, right?"
"Yeah, but-" She stopped short as he leaned in, placing his hands on her waist and kissed her full on the lips, silencing her. She blushed furiously and returned the kiss, placing her hands on his shoulders. A few moments later it ended and he took her hand in his, saying nothing.
