Myla watched as Nora's eyes flickered between red and green and hoped that Nora would pull through. When Arcane sent that last warning she wasn't that bothered, after all, they kinda did just defeat, even temporarily, a centuries old evil spirit. Nora opened her eyes, and exhaustion showed in their green depths.
"What?" She said, in response to Myla's stare.
"Oh, nothing, I was just thinking. But let's get you some treatment for that wound." Myla said.
"You don't have to, you know. I deserved that." She said, looking shamefully at the ground. Myla shook her head.
"No, you didn't. Arcane blindsided you into thinking that it would help you, but it just wanted power for itself." She took the cloth that was wrapped around Rani's leg, duplicated it, and wrapped the duplicate around Nora's arm, ignoring her astonished face.
"How did you do that?!" She asked, amazed.
"Magic, but you can't tell, ok?" Myla studied Nora's face. "Or anything else, personal about me, alright?"
"Alright." Nora sighed. "I guess you did sorta save me."
"HEY! I helped too." Rani called, limping over to where Myla and Nora were.
"Yes, you did.And sorry for what Arcane did" Nora said, glancing down at Rani's wound. Rani rested her arm on Myla's shoulder for support.
"It's not your fault" Rani assured her. Frey walked over and placed her other arm on his shoulder. She turned and pecked him on the cheek, smiling. Myla noticed this, raised an eyebrow, but said nothing.
"So, I guess you should head home?" Nora suggested. Turning around she saw that her house had partially collapsed.
"Yeah, it is getting late." Myla responded.
"But, first...could you guys please fix this?" She asked. Myla laughed, and seconds later Nora's house was fixed like nothing had happened.
"Thank you." Nora said truly grateful. She walked back inside, and closed the door behind her.
