As Amaryllis wandered the large halls of Ouran she noticed many ghosts floating around. Way more than she thought she'd seen in a fancy school like this. 'Well I guess as school like this is bound to have a history.'

"Can we go home yet? I'm tired." Raiden whined.

"How can you be tired? You're a ghost. Ghosts can't get tired or hungry or anything like that." Amaryllis said while rolling her eyes.

"Thanks for reminding me that I can no longer enjoy the deliciousness of good food." Raiden grumbled indignantly.

A few minutes later Amaryllis and Raiden came upon an abandoned music room. 'Music room 1, huh?' She thought before opening the door and walking inside.

The room was dark and full of dust, but there was musical instruments that were covered with blankets in order to keep them clean.

"They took special care to make sure that these instruments stayed in pristine condition." Amaryllis said as she pulled the blanket off the instruments.

There were many beautiful instruments under the blankets, but the one that caught Amaryllis's attention was a guitar. She ran her fingers across the strings and listened to the sounds. "It's tuned correctly." She said.

Unable to help herself Amaryllis picked up the guitar and started playing one of her favorite songs...

(For some reason the pictures and videos I post at the top of the chapter, don't show up when the story is "viewed as reader".)

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song
Oh-oh, oh-oh
Lord, make me a rainbow, I'll shine down on my mother
She'll know I'm safe with you when she stands under my colors
Oh, and life ain't always what you think it ought to be, no
Ain't even gray, but she buries her baby
The sharp knife of a short life
Well, I've had just enough time
If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song
The sharp knife of a short life
Well, I've had just enough time
And I'll be wearing white when I come into your kingdom
I'm as green as the ring on my little cold finger
I've never known the lovin' of a man
But it sure felt nice when he was holding my hand
There's a boy here in town, says he'll love me forever
Who would have thought forever could be severed by
The sharp knife of a short life
Well, I've had just enough time
So put on your best boys, and I'll wear my pearls
What I never did is done
A penny for my thoughts, oh no, I'll sell 'em for a dollar
They're worth so much more after I'm a goner
And maybe then you'll hear the words I've been singin'
Funny when you're dead, how people start listenin'
If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song
Oh-oh, oh-oh
The ballad of a dove
Go with peace and love
Gather up your tears, keep 'em in your pocket
Save 'em for a time when you're really gonna need 'em, oh
The sharp knife of a short life
Well, I've had just enough time
So put on your best boys, and I'll wear my pearls

Tears were streaming down her face as she finished the song. The song always meant so much to her when she was younger. The lyrics had always resonated with her.

Due to being able to see ghosts from a young age, Amaryllis developed sympathy for them, so she sang the song. But it was also because it seemed to speak to her soul. She felt like the song was written just for her. After her parents had died, she often sang the song. It always brought her comfort.

Raiden had a soft smile on his face as he looked at Amaryllis. Because he died young, he also felt a connection to the song. It brought him and Amaryllis closer together.

"As beautiful as always." Raiden complimented. Amaryllis smiled shyly and rubbed the back of her neck.

"It was nothing." She said.

"Are you kidding me?! That was amazing!" A voice exclaimed.

Amaryllis jumped in shock and looked up to see a group of boys and one girl staring at her with widened eyes. At the front of the group was a boy with blonde hair and indigo eyes. He had huge smile in his face as he looked at her.

Blushing in embarrassment, Amaryllis looked down at the floor. "Um th-thank you." She whispered, barely able to speak.

"Did you say something?" The blonde boy asked while cupping his ear. He stepped closer to her, but Amaryllis squeaked in fear and bolted past him and out of the room.

The group stood there in shock, completely bewildered by Amaryllis's behavior.

"Um exactly who was that girl?" A boy with ginger hair and amber eyes asked.

"Amaryllis White. She's from America and she came here on a scholarship. She's a first year like Haruhi and the twins." A boy with glasses said smartly.

"Wait, that's the crazy girl of Ouran?!" A duplicate ginger boy exclaimed.

The girl in the group rolled her eyes. "Do people really call her that?" She deadpanned and the other boys nodded.

"Kyoya besides her name and where she's from, do you know anything else about her?" The blonde boy asked. The boy with glasses, now known as Kyoya shook his head.

"I only know her name, home country, and grade. Everything else is just rumors I heard. Like how she talks to herself and wanders the halls of the school alone." He responded.

"Well now we know she's a good singer." One of the ginger doppelgängers added.

"Yeah and we also know that she's terrified of other people." The girl said, speaking up. A tall man with a stoic expression grunted in agreement with the girl's assessment.

"I wonder why that is." The blonde boy thought.

Suddenly a bright look crossed his face and his eyes sparkled. The girl took one look at him and sighed in exasperation.

"Kyoya, find out everything that you can about Amaryllis White and report back to me!" The blonde exclaimed, while pointing at the boy with glasses.

"Will do." Was all the glasses character said.

The blonde then turned to the doppelgängers and the girl. "Hikaru, Kaoru and Haruhi, since Amaryllis is a first year, I want you to try and get close to her. Bring her to the Host club." Tamaki ordered dramatically.

"That'll be easier said than done boss." One of the doppelgängers said.

"Yeah, she seemed pretty terrified of us." The other one said while shrugging.

"I don't care. Just do whatever you have to do to get Amaryllis to come to the club room. I don't care how long it takes, just accomplish this mission!" The blonde exclaimed, while pointing at the two boys. The girl looked at him with a deadpan expression.

'That poor girl. She has no idea what she's gotten herself into.'

* This was the first time I ever added a song to one of my stories. I know that Amaryllis was playing the guitar and yet there was accordion music in the background of the song, but just go with it. You'll get the gist of it.
