I threw on my boots before swiping a lime from the kitchen to use as deodorant before hiding them in a container to put in my bag to keep cool. I finished the rest of my hygiene products along with throwing on a little eucalyptus and peppermint oil to smell nice before leaving the camper to go on my early morning run.

Walking outside the camper, Trent was already there waiting. He even changed into dark running shorts and a grey tank with the number thirteen in large white bold print.

He waved a hand welcoming me as I stepped down the one stair of the trailer onto the ground. I had forgotten that he wanted to tag along. Perhaps this could be fun.

"Good morning, Sydney." smiled Trent warmly. "I was just stretching."

"I see," I nod while walking up next to him.

Trent sniffed the air before questioning, "Mm what's that smell? It's really nice. Refreshing."

"Merci. It's eucalyptus and peppermint." I stated warmly with a smile. "Let me do a warm up and I'll be good to go."

Trent nodded with a grin, watching me as my arms stretched over my head behind me to hold my hands together to pull out the muscles from my biceps and shoulders while rolling my head back around my neck hearing it pop a few times on each side.

After stretching out my thighs behind me with a toe pull and popping each ankle and knuckle I was ready. We both took off into a starting jog. We started off slow going around lots and fake buildings. It didn't leave much of a good view.

The whole surrounding area was basically an empty film lot that was over the wide-span of two football fields. There wasn't much, but at least it was enough to become familiar with the new area. We even found the exit where a bunch of restaurants and fast food chains were. Trent mentioned us getting breakfast or a late night snack away from camp.

"That would be a great spot to have a picnic!" Trent said spotting a nice area that was a woodsy theme showing a fake forest. If there was only real nature around. "You think Gwen would like it?"

"Sure." I shrugged uncertain. "But I don't know what she likes, for all I know, she might hate picnics. She appears to be the type, but that would be judging too quickly."

"Right." He muttered thoughtfully. "Maybe I should find a horror monster set instead. Maybe she likes props of fake blood?"

"That's an idea, she likes the sort." I agreed. "Probably a weird first date though."

"I just wish I knew more about her. She's so different and mysterious." He trailed off lost in thought. "Maybe she's better off with Duncan. They seem better for each other."

It was strange that he took the words right out of my mouth. I didn't know what to tell him except the hard truth, which is what I knew best.

"Well, yeah, they might. But remember, she chose you, so you shouldn't say that." I reassured hoping to give him some encouragement.

"Hey, yeah. You're right." He brightened. "She chose me. She made the first move. You're right, Sydney. What am I thinking? She'd never choose that jerk over me. She practically loves me. I just know she'll say it soon."

"That's the spirit!" I said matching his energy. "Just gotta keep doing your best and having faith. She'll come around."

We completed our lap around the entire lot making it back to where everyone was still sleeping inside the campers. Catching my breath, my hands meet my knees to exhale deeply through the mouth and in through the nose before regaining my posture.

"That actually wasn't so bad. We should do this again, it was fun." said Trent through a few heavy pants. Sweat drenched the front of his shirt, glistening the front of his forehand with a few drops dripping down his chest and shoulders. The ends of his hair stuck to his forehead as it appeared slightly damp.
