Chapter Eleven

"Should you be in here?" a voice next to her. She let out a yelp of fright clutching her pen and paper at her chest. Anne's heart did not calm down when Marcus take the sit in opposite her.

Anne opens her mouth and closed it a few times just catching air. She knows she is not allowed in here not unsupervised after all this is still the king's wing. It has been a full day since her parents were here, she cried all last night in Felix's arms. Anne wanted so much to tell him what happened, she couldn't. She does not dare to do so, that part of the name each of them will want to know what happened. Even the twins will want to know ones they get to know her.

Should she in their library? It not a yes and no answer, Marcus or Aro won't care as much if she is here but they would like her supervised at all cost, Caius has a different opinion he thinks she not allow in there without permission and supervised. But his brother's argument was she going to be a vampire so in the end she will be allowed in.

It is a death sentence for the other humans if they get caught in this wing without permission.

"I'm sorry," Anne said

"What are you doing in here?" Marcus asks eyeing her as she tightens her hands on the paper and pen.

"Just wanted a place to think, be alone to write. But I'm sorry I can leave."

"I thought Caius banned that word," he said shaking his head as she made a move to get up.

Anne replies with a tight smile.

"If am staying can I carry on?" holding out the paper and pen.

"What are you writing."

"I just want to get my thoughts down."

"Not with that," he said rising to his feet. The pounding of Anne's heart picks up speed as he walks towards her. "Do not leave this room." As soon as he was finished speaking he was gone but back within a second. Dropping a leather journal on her lap with a pen and he back in the chair. Legs cross staring at her.

Anne stare down at the journal, did she accept any different from the Volturi? Of course, it would be as beautiful and royal as the royal vampires. The Leatherbound is simple in a way, a black-red cover with the Letter V engraved into the journal.

Discarding the paper and pen on the floor.

"I can't take this," Anne said gripping the journal.

"Yes you can," he said dismissing her grabbing his book opening it.

Anne run her index finger along the V feeling the soft leather against her skin. Opening the journal, holding the pen in her fingers, hovering over the page.

Without thinking she starting going down memory lane her past.

I can remember when the vampire took me from my home, thanks for my parents. When we reach the place they throw me in a cell. I kick, scream for them to let me out to even talk to me.

They must have come in when I was sleeping because I did not see anyone and no one come in and see me. I had no idea how kind I was in there in the dark on my own. A week. Two weeks, maybe longer.

But I do remember the first time they did come in after all that the first time I was bitten. I remember the force of being hold down and fed on. Two vampires come in, I could not see them the cell was too dark. I know it was two.

Cell door open, next thing I know I found myself pinned to the floor, with a vampire over me feeding. Can't remember what the pain feels like now, but I do know it was a fire like my whole body was being burned alive.

"That enough, kill her and I will you," other vampire growl standing in the shadow.

Everything went black after that, I even guess the vampire stop or the one in the shadow made that vampire stop.

Next time they come in, I cry in the corner begging to keep the vampire away not wanting to feel that pain again. But after that day I did not beg again, I learn to keep still let the vampire feed so they can leave.

I was allowed out if the cell ones a week, with handcuff, they only let me out because I needed the exercise and the cell was not big enough.

After a time I learn they feed off me so they can control their bloodlust if they do not control it. They are useless and get put down.

It never cross my mind to escape, I thought I couldn't fight off vampires. That just impossible to be able to do, well that what I thought. After all, I did get out, I'm writing this. I realised I did not have to fight off vampires, just to make sure they were not in the same room.

I'm not sure what changes, it starts when I go for a walk instead of a vampire taking me, it was a human but company by a vampire. That when I realised wherever I was, they also have humans living here as well free on their will

Not sure what else I can say. I did not feel like a person, it was food to be kept alive. Now I understand why some people go vegan, what we do to animals is cruel and in a way, we are animals to vampires.

Did I like living in a cell? No. But I thought it was the only thing I could do. I could not go home, my parents would send me right back and it then the first place they would look for me.

But one day it did change, I was dragged out of the cell I know it was odd because it was to soon to be let out. They did not take me outside, they drag me deep into the building.

Into a doctor office, the doctor did some test, took my blood and other stuff. That the day I find out they wanted to get me pregnant to have a half-breed. Well, I overheard then talking,

At that time I can guess what that is half-vampire and half-humans. But my suspicions have come true when I make the Cullen's.

Not sure what vampire they were going to use, but I know I was not going to let that happen. And at the same time, I was not sure how I was going to get out of this mess. They are 10x stronger, smarter. Do everything better then I would. I had a chance against my kind but not against vampires, and I thought they would never give me that change to act on it.

Must have been a few weeks until they come back, taking me back to that doctor room. Their mistake was calling the vampire away, still this day I not sure how I overpower the doctor and get out but I'm happy I did.

Marcus said I can keep this. So I will add to it when needed.

"I'm needed in the throne room. Stay as long as you want," he said before disappearing.
