No one's POV
Previously on Coming Home....
Gavin: hey sister
Taraji: hey brother, so what is it?
Gavin: ummmmmm, well......."I think you should give Terrence a chance to be in his children's lives" Gavin finally spoke. "Can you.. say that again so I can hear you correctly?" Said Taraji, caught off guard.
"I said, I think you should give him a chance to be in his children's life. I mean ain't that's what Tyree want? Do it for him" Gavin encouraged. "Gavin" Taraji called out. "Yes" Gavin answered.
"Did Terrence tell you to come over and talk to me?" Taraji questioned with a raised eyebrow. She was very curious about this. In Gavin's head he's saying how in the hell does she know that.
"Um no. I haven't seen him since the last days before he went to jail. Why you ask?" Gavin confirmed. "Because maybe you seen him at a store or somewhere? And plus you and him was real close when we were together and he knows that you're an understanding person so I think he would go to you first before he goes to any of my family" Taraji explained. "Oh" said Gavin with a single nod.
"Gavin I'm going to ask you one more time. Because you know I don't like liars. Did he tell you to come over here and get me to let him see the kids?" Taraji questioned again. "No Taraji he didn't. This is coming from me. Not him. I really think you should allow him back in your kids life. Especially since it's a lot of kids that have to deal with not having a father in their life" spoke Gavin.
"Me and my kids are straight. I don't need him for shit." Taraji cleared up. "That's not what I'm saying" he told her. "Then what is it?!" Taraji whisper-shouted in full of frustration.
"The only thing I'm saying is to let him be in his kids lives. You got a boy and a girl. And both boys and girls need a father in their life. A girl needs a father so she can know how a man suppose to treat her in a relationship. A boy needs a father so he can know how to treat a woman. And it's not just about relationships. It's many more reasons.." Gavin informed.
"First of all, I always teach my son how to treat a woman and with my daughter, she knows how a man should treat her because I teach her that ok?" Taraji said with attitude.
"But like I said before, it's not all about relationships. It's many more reasons.... kids need their fathers Taraji. A mother can't teach a child everything somethings is for the father and it's gonna be moments where a child needs their father" Gavin told her.
"Yes, true enough a child needs their father. But a child needs a good father and a good role model and apparently Terrence isn't that. You think I'm about to let him around my kids so my daughter can think it's ok to be with a man that stays in and out of jail and his kids lives? For my son to think it's ok to stay in trouble and keep going to jail or prison? Hell no" said Taraji.
"Taraji" said Gavin. "What?" Asked Taraji. "You know that Terrence is a good father to those kids. The only problem he got is he can't stay out of trouble" Gavin told her. "Ok and any parent that can't change their ways is not a good parent periodt" Taraji stated. "Ok but he could've changed. Just give him one more chance please?" Gavin encouraged.
"Like come on don't you want to give your kids the childhood that you never had?" Gavin continued. Taraji stayed silent. "Uh, hello?" Gavin spoke out. "Look... I'll think about it ok?" She said. "Alright" Gavin spoke.
Gavin got back into his car, cranked his car up and drove off. While driving he dialed Terrence's number. He has a Bluetooth in his car so he doesn't have to worry about holding his phone up to his ear while driving
Terrence: Hello?
Gavin: yeah hey, this is Gavin
Terrence: Oh Gavin.. wassup man did you tell Taraji?
Gavin: yes, I did and she's smart as hell
Terrence: I mean yes Taraji is smart but why you say that?
Gavin: because when I tried convincing her she asked that if you told me to do it
Terrence: damn she smart
Gavin: yes she is
Terrence: so did you tell her?
Gavin: about?
Terrence: did you tell her that I sent you?
Gavin: oh no
Terrence: good
Gavin: yeah but she had said to give her time to think about it
Terrence: ok man thank you so much
Gavin: your welcome. I hope she says yes because I really do want the best for my niece and nephew
Terrence: yeah I do too
Gavin: bye
Terrence: bye and thank you again
Gavin: you're welcome againTerrence POV
I sighed as I got off the phone. Not out of frustration but out of relief. Even though I don't know her answer yet but I do got somewhat faith that she'll say yes. I miss my kids like hell. At this point, I feel like I need a drink. But I'm at work right now so I might hit Tyler up to see if he's up to coming to my house later own tonight.Tyler POV

Still Tyler POV
So me and my cousin Terrence just chilling. We drinking some whine and just chatting. "So um, have you did anything else to attempt to try and see your kids again?" I asked. "Yeah I did" he answered. "What did she say?" I questioned. "Well actually, I got her brother to talk to her for me and she said she'll think about it so that gives me a little hope" he admitted. "Yeah, I hope she says yes and I miss my little cousins anyway so" I trailed off."Yeah I know you do. I'm just thinking about how big they probably done got like I really got me a teenager and a 6 year old" My cousin spoke, amazed.
"Yeah I know right. T'Arra probably taller than you now" I said. "Yeah she probably is" he admitted. We just blabbered on and on just talking about different random things.
Until I got a call. "Hold on" I spoke holding a finger up. I answered the phone and it was a call from the jail. Who in the hell from jail is calling me? I said to myself
What is Taraji answer gonna be? 🤔 and who is calling Tyler from jail??
