The little western town was...quaint. Lively. Warm.

The main square consisted of the village market with dozens of stalls selling all sorts of goods and foods. There were equally dozens of fire-lit lanterns lined up, illuminating the dirt pathway. It was busy with children running around with their mothers pleading them to be safe, and the occasional drunk man laughing over his spilled drink.

The little western town was... homey. Welcoming. Familiar.

It was quiet between Eleanora and Geralt. Neither were sure what to say, or if there was anything that needed to be said. There was a heaviness in the air that was most definitely awkward. That moment back in the forest...it was too vulnerable. With fidgety fingers and nervous glances, Eleanora and Geralt allowed their personal thoughts to consume them completely. They allowed themselves to, finally, feel everything they've tried so hard to keep hidden from the other.

Eleanora gripped her reins and gently tugged, causing Harold to pick up the pace behind her, before aggressively clearing her throat. "Maybe we should, um, eat something?"

Geralt could feel his heart pounding in his head, almost throbbing. It was painful. "Are you hungry?"

"Yes一 well, no. I mean...only if you are."

"I'm not hungry."

"Alright, I guess I'm not either."

"Hmm."

"Okay."

Eleanora caught sight of a vendor smoking, what looked to be, cod, and immediately her mouth started watering. The young woman couldn't help but sheepishly look up at Geralt after a low grumble broke their thundering silence. "Oops?"

"You said you weren't hungry."

"That's because I'm not!" She spoke defensively, shifting her weight from one foot to another. "Or, at least I wasn't when you asked me the first time."

"That wasn't even a minute ago!"

"Yes, well, I can change my mind!"

Bickering arguments between the two weren't uncommon, but this... this was meant as a distraction.

Something to fill the air.
