Peter's POV

While me and Ned were in woods, I started hammering the glowing thing. It was covered in some sort of casing.

"Hey, thanks for bailing on me." Ned said sarcastically as he walked up to me.

"Oh, well...Um something can up." I said. Ned looked down to what I was doing and his eyes lit up.

"Woah, what is that?"

"I don't know, but some guy tried to vaporize me and Wanda with it."

"Seriously? Is she okay?" Ned asked worried.

"She's okay." I smiled. "But yeah that happened to us."

"I'm glad your both okay, though." He smiled. I nodded my head and started pulling out some wires.

"So, I think this thing is a power source."  I said.

"Yeah, but it's connected to all these microprocessors. That's an inductive charging plate, that's what I charge my tooth brush with." Ned stated.

"Whosoever making these weapons is combining alien tech with ours." I said

"That is literally the closet sentence I have ever heard." Ned said. I let out a little chuckle and picked up the hammer again. "Just I want to say thank you for letting me be apart of this journey, into this amazing..."Before Ned finished his sentence. I whacked the glowing gem looking thing and it flew out of the containment unit, making a loud noise. That echoed through the room.

"Woah." I said in shock. I looked over to our teacher and he didn't even look up.

"Keep you fingers clear of the blades ." He mumbled. I took a sigh of relief and looked back to the gem.

"I gotta figure out what this is and who makes it." I said. "For me and Wanda's sake."

"We'll go to the lab after and run some tests." Ned said. We started doing our handshake and finished with finger guns.

We finished our woods class and I put the glowy thing in my backpack. We started walking to the lab. When I noticed two men walking down the hallway. I recognized them from last night.

"Crap!" I huffed. I ran and hid behind a wall. I motioned Ned to follow me. He looked at me confused and than sauntered over to me. I slowly pocked my head out from around the corner and saw them walking towards us.

"Hey, that's one of the guys that tried to kill me and Wanda last night." I whispered to Ned.

"What!" He looked very scared and backs sup farther behind the wall.

"Yeah."

"We gotta get outta here." Ned said.

"No, no, I got to follow them. Maybe they can lead me to the guy who dropped me in a lake." I said

"Someone dropped you in a lake?" Ned asked surprised.

"Yeah, it wasn't good." I sighed.

"Peter..." Ned began

"No, stay here." I stated. I leaned against the wall and ran across the hallway. I walked backed into the woods classroom. I slowly crept down the stairs and saw the two men, but my the station I was at earlier.

"Can you imagine what the boss would say, if he knew we were here?" I heard one man say.

"It's saying there was an energy pulse here." The other man said. I took off my back pack slowly and crouched underneath a table. Slightly hitting a stool on my way down. I heard the sound of a gun cocking. I made my self stick to the top of the table and watched their feet as they walked by. I was doing my best to hold my breath and to be as silent as I can. To my surprise they didn't check under the table. They started walking up the stairs and I shot a tracker onto one of them. After I heard them leave. I snuck my way back to Ned.

"Let's get out of here." I said.

Wanda's POV

"Wanda dear, can you pass me the salt. Please." May asked.

"Yup." I smiled. I reached over and grabbed the salt and handed it to her. Me and her were making soup. I walked back over to the table and continued to chop carrots.

"Thank you for helping Wanda." May said.

"Your welcome, but you don't have to say thank you every time." I giggled. "I love making food."

"Well I'm glad you love making food." She giggled and smiled.

"Can I ask you a question?" May asked.

"For sure." I smiled and continued to chop the carrots.

"Why don't you go school?" I stopped my knife and looked off into the distance.

"Wanda?" May said. I felt her hands on my shoulders. I dropped my gaze to the floor and sighed. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah I'm okay." I smiled fakely. She just gave me a concerned look and I started to cry softly.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you cry." She mumbled.

"No it's alright." I wiped away my tears. "It's just, I had a brother and we used to be bullied in school. So we stopped going when I was ten and I just can't seem to go back. It haunts me." I said. She had the most sympathetic face ever and she cupped my cheek.

"I'm sorry that happened to you." She said.

"It's okay." I smiled weakly. I heard the sound of the door opening and I quickly wiped away all my tears. I composed my self and stood up.

"Peter." I smiled.

"Hey baby." He smiled. I wrapped him in a hug and he kissed my forehand. I than noticed Ned was standing there.

"Oh hi Ned." I smiled.

"Hey Wanda." He smiled back. We all walked into our and I climbed into Peter's bed. Ned sat on mine and Peter sat down on our desk chair. This was always our set up when Ned came over.

"So what you learn about the glowing thing?" I asked interested. They explained to me what they figured out and ninety percent of it, sounded like gibberish. But I just nodded my head to play along.

"So than lastly, I planted a tracker." Peter said.

"Oh...and what are we gonna use to locate this tracker." I smirked. Peter pulled out this hologram looking thing and it had a little dot that showed where they were.

For the rest of the day, we waited until they stopped moving and the alarm went off. I was sleeping when I heard the sound of beeping. I shot up and looked over to Ned, who now had Peter's mask on his face.

"They stopped." Ned exclaimed. I climbed down from the top bunk and looked at the hologram thing.

"Maryland?" Peter said confused.

"What's there?" I asked

"I don't know. Evil lair. Heh." Peter laughed.

"They have a lair?" Ned asked

"Dude, a gang with alien gun run by a guy with wings? Yeah they have a lair." Peter said

"Badass." Me and Ned both said in unison. We high fived and smiled.

"But how are you gonna get there? It's, like, three hundred miles away?" Ned asked.

We all turned our heads to look at the poster on the wall.

"It's not to far from D.C." I said

They both turned to me and Peter gave me a proud smile.

"Let's catch this son of a bitch." Peter said smirking.
