The next 2 weeks jay and Hailey have been getting closer and hanging out at each other's place.
Back at the district
Everyone was doing paperwork. Voight walked out of his office and made eye contact with jay "you, my office now" jay looked at Hailey and back at voight "alright sarge" jay said and got up and walked into voights office "what's up with you and upton?" Jay let out a breath "I mean no disrespect sarge but I don't think it's any of your business" voight let out a chuckle "listen her halstead you said the same thing when I asked about eri-, before voight could finish her name jay cut him off "look sarge let's not talk about you know who, she's in the past and she's gone now and I don't care anymore" voight rubbed his face "alright look jay whatever you and Hailey got going on I think it's best if you put it to an end immediately cause we both know what happened between you and you know who" jay groaned "sarge Hailey is different she stayed for me she didn't leave me"' voight shot up "look erin may have left but it was for the best" jay looked at him "you've got to be kidding me look me and upton will work out whatever we have going on don't worry" voight sighed look the fbi want you working on a case with them in New York for a week I can't really help you out of it.
Jay sat there thinking "I'll talk to Hailey about it and I'll be on my way I guess" voight patted Jays back "I hope your right" jay was confused and walked out of voight office and went to the break room"
Break room
Hailey saw jay walking in and she smiled and closed the space between them and pecked his lips. Jay smiled and responded "hey we gotta talk" Hailey tilted her head "about?" Jay sighed "I gotta go to New York for a week to work on a case with the fbi and I don't really have much of a choice" Hailey scratched her head "alright... uh when do you leave exactly?" Jay pecked her lips again and replied "tonight..." Hailey smiled "alright be safe and come back to me alright?" Jay smiled "of course I will" Hailey smiled and kissed him passionately jay smiled.
