CHAPTER 3

CASSIE

After passing the buildings and busy places, the driver took a turn which led us to a foresty place, there was a lot of green, trees and an unclear path but he seemed to know where he was going, I loved the refreshing feeling I got just from being surrounded by nature

We eventually made it into a clearing,  there were houses, people walking around but bowing as the car passed, this looked like an entire different place on its own, like it existed on its own and the place where I used to stay in was not known because these people had their own shops even.

We came to a stop and Lucian stepped out of the car so I followed suit, he walked towards the house and I trailed from behind still looking around but mostly taken by the beautiful house we were walking towards

Lucian opened the door and stopped as soon as he walked in, I bumped into him as I was not aware that he had stopped walking

"I'm sorry" I whispered and he didn't even turn to look at me, he continued walking and led me up the stairs and to a door, a bedroom door

"This will be your bedroom from now on, I made sure to keep it simple so you can decorate it however you may want to" He said while standing in the middle of the room and I just looked around

There was a queen size bed with white duvet covers and pillows, on one side there was a dressing table and a chair, there was another small table, more like a study table and as I continued looking around I saw two doors in the room

"This door leads to your personal bathroom" he opened it

Personal bathroom, lovely. I hope the other door is personal kitchen, I internally joked with myself

"this one is the closet, you can put all your clothes and shoes and whatever else you'd like to" he said as he opened the other door

"I hope you will be comfortable in here" he said now coming closer

"I will, thank you" I held the eye contact and so did he

"Good , I've assigned someone to come help you unpack"

A teenage girl, maybe 18, walked in as the door was already open, she bowed her head when she got to Lucian

"This is Annabelle, she will help you with everything you need, including a proper tour of the house but that will only be done later as I want you to come to my office as soon as you're done packing, Annabelle will show you the way" He said and I nodded then he turned to leave but stopped at the door

"Cassie"

"Yes?"

"Welcome to the blood moon pack" He said then left

Annabelle stood there looking at everything except me, Her posture easily told me she was shy and didn't know what to expect from me, she twisted her blonde locks and bit her lip repeatedly until I put her out of her misery

"So, Annabelle... Should we get started?" I said pointing at my bags

"Yes Miss, what should we start with?"

"Let's start with you calling me Cassie and feeling free, I'm not going to attack you, if anything you could easily overpower me with your strength" I tried to make light of the situation but it seemed I had frightened her

"I would never... Never" she said

"Relax, I know. Let's just start afresh. Lucian's introduction didn't do any justice so, Hello, My name is Cassandra King but I would really like it if you call me Cassie, I'm very pleased to meet you" I extend my hand
