MOON BOUND

CHAPTER 2

CASSIE

I woke up with a massive headache and a dry throat, I looked around and saw that I was in Jay and Erica's place, their couch to be precise

"she's awake Jay" Erica shouted and I covered my ears and shut my eyes

"Keep it down please"

"That's what you get for swimming in alcohol" Erica reprimanded "Can't you find other ways to go through the anniversary of your mother's death, maybe visit her grave, I don't know, what do normal people do?"

"I do that in the morning then return to turn it up" I said

"then wake up feeling like crap"

She walked closer and handed me a hot cup of black coffee

I took a sip and it was too bitter for me "You made it too strong" I whined

"it's either this of some disgusting concoction made by Jay"

"I'll settle for coffee, thank you"

She smiled and sat next to me as Jay also walked in the room, we sat in silence for a while then I finally cut through it

"so, last night huh" I started

"yea... Last night" Erica said

And it went silent again

"Do you guys think he's going to come back? "

"I'm suprised he isn't here already, growling like he hasn't been fed in days" Jay commented rolling his eyes

"We can always stall if you aren't ready to see him" Erica suggested looking at Jay

"Unfortunately we can't, I already pushed it last night. If I deny him access to you again I have a feeling this time he won't hesitate to use force and take you against your own will"

"so this is it then?" I asked suddenly feeling scared

"He wouldn't dare hurt you, I know a girl who got mated to a werewolf, she says the bond is so strong and full of love, it might not be so bad Cassie"

"I don't know guys, I'm human... If it was a regular wolf then yea, but an alpha, what will his pack think of me?"

"Since when do you care what people, or animals for that matter think of you"

"I don't" I sighed "I'm just nervous, that's all"

"Maybe we really should consider stalling babe, tell him she's sick or something and that he should come back later" Erica suggested again

"No, it's no use putting it off and we really don't want to see what happens when he's angry... I'll see him if or when he comes" I said suddenly regaining my confidence which was shot lived when someone knocked on the door

"Jamie hardly comes upstairs when she arrives so it's got to be him" Jay said and my eyes went wide

He slowly walked to the door and opened it

"Morning" Jay said

"Morning, Is she sober now?" I heard a voice say

"Yes, come in" Jay ushered them in

It was Mr Hot, or Alpha hot rather and one of his bodyguards, I quickly composed myself and masked my fear with an indifferent expression

"I believe you won't make things hard this time around, I don't know how much more patience I can stretch" Alpha Hot said never removing his gaze from me

"There's no need for threats, I did what I had to do last night and now that she's in the right state of mind I will not stand in your way"

After a bit of silence I spoke up "How do I know you're being honest?"
