The expansion

When a hundred years had past and Australia's population was so high that it could not be sustained any longer they had only one option, expansion, but, instead of an annexation blitzkrieg, they chose to expand gradually. At first, they only annexed Papua New Guinea and the first of the Solomon Islands, yet not even that was enough to sustain Australia's growing population, and by the mid-2110s, they had to annex the rest of the islands surrounding Australia. After that, they blitzed through East Timor then moved on to New Caledonia, then continued their blitzkrieg. By the mid-2150s over half of the 8222 islands surrounding Australia had fallen.

At this point, the population numbered 1 Trillion with four billion serving personnel and six in reserve. But what shocked the government was the discovery of the Enclave, when they learned that the U.S. government had survived they diverted troops and resources to get them off the planet and in 2170 two million Australian troops along with the whole of Enclave high command left the planet and headed to mars to rebuild the country on a different planet.
