911 operater: It's okay hunny, I'm not a stranger, I just need you're address so we can send help for you're mommy.
A gunshot is heard.. then a scream for help.... Then silence.
---------------------------------------5 minutes later the ambulence, police officers, and firemen arrive----------------
No evidence is found, in fact, they wondered if they had tracked the phone call to the wrong house, no blood smears, no bodies, just nothing. The girl couldn't have been any older than four or five. If a crime was commited here, they sure hid it well.
The emergency responce people decided to just let it go for now, if anything else came up about it they would investigate it then, but if there's no evidence right now, then why bother? But the 911 operater who answered the frantic little girl's call couldn't shake the girl's voice and cry for help out of her head, she knew something was up. The trick was finding out what exactly.
The 911 operater's name is Maycee, she had decided to be a operater at a young age because she wanted to help people without putting herself in the danger. She walks home every night, she only lives a few miles from work and she's low on money because her husband had left her a few years ago, and now she doubted love even exists. On her walk home the night of the frantic little girl's call, she felt like someone was watching her, though when she turned around nothing was there, so she decided to just try to shake the feeling and walk faster.
"Hey pretty lady", it was her neighbor, Gary. No, not the snail from Spongebob. He had been calling her that since he heard about the divorce between Maycee, and her husband, Mike. Gary had never been married, but he did have the reputation of a player. He had asked Maycee out a few times over the last year, but she can't stand to be hurt again, and she doesn't trust him at all.
" Hey Gary", replied Maycee.
" What's wrong beatiful? You look shaken up, even more than usual"
" Nothing, just got a wierd call today"
" I told you that job was a bad idea, I don't know how you do it everyday, I'd be having nightmares every night, hearing those hurt voices calling for help......"
" Yeah well, I want to help people, and I can usually handle it no problem, but today was..... different"
" I'll tell you what, why don't you go home and change then come over and explain the call to me over dinner, not a date, just to friends hanging out at my house, sound good?"
" I guess so..." And with that, Maycee went in to change, she just put on sweats, no reason to dress up for Gary.
~ Maycee knocks on Gary's door and Gary opens it~
" Hey, you know you don't have to knock", said Gary as he opened the door.
" Yeah i know.. but after what I walked in on last time..." Maycee had walked in a few months ago on Gary and his new girlfriend making out on the couch.
" Oh yeah... sorry about that"
" It's fine..so whatcha making??"
