"Naruto! You need to come train!" That voice told him time in and time out that he needed to train and that the Uchiha clan will perfect him.It made Naruto want to vomit.
The six year old child ran away from the woman. He didn't even catch her name. She wasn't following him, and he didn't sense anybody else following him and so he ran, wherever his little feet carried him is where he went.
He managed to stop running collecting his breathe when he stumble upon water. A waterfall in the distance because he could hear it crashing against rocks, he could feel the nature energy calm clinging to him. That calmed him down and so he made a sound of relief.
Placing his tanned feet within the water, he closed his eyes and allowed the sun to bask on him, as if his skin wasn't already sun kissed, as if he needed to tan more.
He simply needed to calm down. He didn't know why, but he was definitely on edge in the Uchiha clan. Not like fight or flight edge, but he definitely felt like everybody knew something he didn't.
Plus he didn't want to spar with Sasuke. Sasuke always looked at him as if he had taken his favorite toy away from him. Though Naruto knew that Sasuke didn't even play with toys.
So he didn't understand Sasuke distaste of him.
Naruto managed to open his eyes, the sunny beautiful blue eyes he was gifted with shined, he blinked and his long eyelashes rested against his skin. Opening them as he gazed at the clouds.
"Uzumaki huh?" Naruto whispered to himself, as he thought about his vibrant colored hair. It was a beautiful red, said to only belong to those in the Uzumaki clan.
Naruto laid flat on his back, soaking up the nature energy like a sponge. He closed his eyes, and saw something. It filtered through his mind like a movie, so real. He could see a little boy around his age, running away from somebody only to stumble into this part of the village.
Naruto opened his eyes, continuing to look at the sky until he felt it. Like a sense of Deju Vu, the boy ran into the clearing. He was panting just like he was in the vision wearing exactly what was in the vision and even said what was in the vision.
"What a drag, I can't believe I let mother chase me all the way out here." Naruto blinked, was he a psychic? A prophet? Why did he see that minutes before it happened.
The boy who stumbled in rubbed the back of his neck, looking over and seeing a boy his age at the water. He walked over hands in his pocket and he sat down next to the red head, feet dipped in the water and they didn't say anything for the longest time.
They cloud watched, enjoying the others QUIET presence. Naruto blinked, he looked to the boy and spoke.
"Naruto Namikaze." Naruto said holding out his hand, Namikaze was his birth name. Though why did the village miss his Uzumaki heritage.
The boy blinked before answering.
"Shikamaru Nara."
It was silent again, it was fine. Everything was calm between the two boys. They just continued to lay on the grass, listening to the waterfall and watching the clouds drift by.
"Do you know how to get home from here?" Naruto asked hopefully, and Shikamaru answered with a snort.
"I sure don't." Shikamaru replied. They both feel silent before they both spoke.
"Sleepover in the woods?" Shikamaru and Naruto looked at one another and smiled.
"If nobody finds us, then yes." Shikamaru answered and they turned back to scenery, they enjoying the clouds a little more now than before.
"What do you mean he didn't train? Again Today?" Fugaku asked the woman, she was the instructor for the Uchiha's, she had been tasked with training Sasuke and Naruto. Itachi who was coming home from an Anbu mission looked at his screaming father.
"Despite him not wanting to train, he's amazing at hiding his chakra and he's quite agile." The woman complimented, and Fugaku calmed a little.
"So you've lost my bride?" Itachi asked. His voice was completely dry, nothing noting that he was happy to call the child his bride. He was tired, he wanted to eat and rest but he knew that he would have to find his rouge bride again, and he only wishe they kept a leash on him.
"Whatever, Sasuke are you coming this time?" Itachi asked heading to slip his shoes back on, while Sasuke nodded. He ran to his brother and spoke.
"Good mission?" Sasuke asked hopefully, Itachi sighed and replied to his overly attached younger brother.
"It was a success. I'm just a little worn out Sasuke." Sasuke nodded his head, and gave Itachi some peace and quiet which Itachi was thankful for.
Naruto ended up sleeping, and Shikamaru ended up sleeping as well. The moon sat perched in the sky, and the two runaway six year olds slept as if they belonged exactly where they were. Which was the problem.
Itachi stood in the middle of the village. Exhausted, he couldn't sense Naruto at all. He didn't want to go home empty handed but he didn't want to search for Naruto all night either.
"Why me Kami?" Itachi asked, Sasuke was basically asleep on his feet too, and the Nara head looked and saw Itachi.
"Missing the Namikaze?" Shikaku asked the older Uchiha. Itachi nodded and Shikaku hummed.
"Maybe he's with Shikamaru, you can follow me." Itachi nodded and squatted so Sasuke could rest on his back. He walked with the head of the Nara clan, in silence. They stumbled upon the two six year olds sleeping.
They both looked so comfortable but Shikaku called out.
"Shikamaru!" Shikamaru sat up quickly, disturbing Naruto who was sleeping on his shoulder. Shikamaru looked to see Naruto whining.
"I'm sorry Naruto." Shikamaru patted the red hair and Naruto opened his eyes.
"We've been found." Naruto said softly, though it was still heard.
"We have, so much for our sleepover huh?" Naruto hummed.
"It's because you didn't hide your chakra. I'll show you how to do it tomorrow." Naruto said and Shikamaru smiled and stood up offering his hand to the red head.
"Sure, I'll see you tomorrow." Naruto waved and called out.
"I'll find you! Once I hone in on a chakra signature, I'll remember it!" Naruto said and Shikamaru smiled. He waved to the red head and immediately dropped his happy face and headed him with his father.
"You made a friend." Shikaku said to his son, stunned that he made a friend with somebody that wasn't Ino, or Choji.
"I did." Shikamaru said.
"You made a friend! I'm so happy Naruto-Kun." Mikoto gushed at the table as Naruto explained him running away from Yuni-San.
Naruto didn't say anything else, he listened to the Uchiha's talk about something that didn't concern him, all he kept thinking about was leaving this table and heading to an actual bed.
