Young Justice, Meet Lightning

Untitled Part 1

Dick seemed positive this whole Young Justice thing would help me out. A bunch of teenage superheroes scurrying around and saving people? The thought is ridiculous. I mean, Bart would freak to hear about this, but.... I think he's visiting Max Mercury.

If only I didn't figure that out. The dark past of everyone, done all that extra, unneeded research. All before I found out about myself. I don't trust them. Jeez, I don't even know them! Dick can't just plop me in this team because he was in it, and he trusts them. These guys need to earn their trust. Especially even if I don't know their names yet. Superhero or otherwise. All Dick told me was that they were nice. 'Cause that helps oh so much.

Straying was what Dick and I were doing. He was dressed in his Nightwing costume, and me? In this blue costume. Blue. Not electric blue. Dark blue. Why am I called Lightnung then? Good question that I'll answer later.

"Through the zeta tube." Dick says, walking ahead and passing through it, just as the computer read a number and the name Nightwing. I frowned, following him slowly as I soon passed through.

"Intruder-"

"Zeta tube update: Lightning." Nightwing says quickly, and the computer then said, "Lightning- B-27."

I start to stray around the place, looking around cautiously. A shadow emerged from a wall, and I frowned. Footsteps pattered against the stony floor. I then raise my head, seeing many different people, assuming all meta humans, other then Batgirl and Robin.

"I'm Bart! Or Bart Allen! Or Impulse! Or Bart Impulse Allen! It's all crash!" His red gloved hand grasped mine tightly into a hand shake. His golden eyes looked down into mine with a wide grin, his brown hair sticking up as if he had just rolled out of bed. "You must be the girl Dick was talking about!" He talked so fast, I nearly didn't hear a word he said.

"Bart. Check." I then frown slightly, remembering my best friend, Bart Allen. There's something he didn't tell me.

"I apologize for Bart's.... Impulsiveness, esè." A male in blue and black armor gave a kind smile. "I am Blue Beetle... Jaime Reyes."

"I'm Wonder Girl!" A blonde haired girl with blue eyes was... Was she flexing? Weird. "Cassie. Cassie Sandsmark."

"Batgirl." The red haired bat took a step forward, her hand out for a handshake, and I offered the hand Bart wasn't still grasping onto as tightly as he could. She shook my hand with a light laugh, as we didn't manage it very well. "Babs."

"Lagoon Boy." A green puffy fish-looking thing with red eyes stood in front of me. "Nice to meet you."

"I'm Beast Boy!" A little green guy with dark green hair smiled. "Bart seems to like you."

"That's for sure." I laugh lightly.

"Robin." The black haired Robin gave a small wave from the back, where he was leaning against a wall. "I keep my ID secret."

"Zatanna. You can call me Z, if you'd like." The female with black hair and icy blue eyes stood next to Dick after a while, giving a small, cheerful wave. "Zatanna Zatara."

"Arsenal." A male with a shaven head that barely showed dark ginger specks of hair and a gun- yes, a gun- as his fore arm. "Roy Harper."

"Artemis." A green archeress smiled in the back, her blonde hair in a high pony tail and her grayish eyes shining kindly behind the mask as she stood next to a red haired male with a wide grin and green eyes, who introduced himself as Kid Flash, aka Wally West.

"Superboy." A male with black hair and blue eyes wearing a black Superman t-shirt crossed his arms with slightly narrowed eyes. Good, I'm not the only one who seems overwhelmed by this. "Connor."

"Miss Martian!" A green skinned girl with reddish brown hair and a bright smile quickly greeted me with bright amber eyes. "It's wonderful to meet you! My name is Megan!"

"And I am Rocket." A dark skinned girl with short dark brown hair and a faint smile looked at me out of the corner of her eye. She looked busy. "Sorry for not paying attention much, I'm working on something."

"And you are?" Batgirl asks, her arms crossed.

"Lightning." I say, giving Bart's hand a tight squeeze. I then fell silent and hung my head as Artemis looked me over cautiously.

"Under the mask?" Wally asked, running his fingers through his ginger hair. His eyes narrowed slightly, his other hand grasping at Artemis's.

"I-" I glance around before looking at Dick, as if asking if I should. He gave a small nod, and then I say, "I'm Jadynne Wayne."

I heard a loud cheer next to me, his hand releasing from mine as he pumped his fists in the air. "I knew it!"

I frown as I glanced at the brown haired speedster, who simply hugged me tightly, lifting me up off the ground. I let out a squeak of surprise, and the rest of the team grinned.

"We finally get to meet Bart's girlfriend, hm?" Wally said with a small smile. I nod with a small squeak as he squeezed me tighter. I tried to squirm from the hug, but it was failing, and I was sorta okay with that.
