It started like a normal day, Braydon was ready for another day of school. He was excited to see his friends after A long weekend.
Braydon hung his jacket and backpack next to his best friends' hook, Trinity. He sat down and waited for further instruction. "Good morning class," His teacher, Mr. Legge said. "today is our science test." Multiple groans could be heard, "Can you please just postpone it until Friday?" Matt asked. "I already postponed it once, Matt.." Braydon sat there waiting to get his test. "Morning bro," His good friend Tae Soo said. "I hope to ace this test." Braydon replied with "You always do good, don't worry about it, alright?" Tae Soo just nodded, smiling a bit. The classroom felt a bit more..tense. Something just wasn't right.. Braydon glanced out the big glass window, storm clouds gathering in his eyes. 'A storm may come..' He thought to himself. "Braydon, eyes on your paper please." Mr. Legge said, with a stern voice. "O-Oh, sorry." Braydon than started to write his test.
"Done!" Borae shouted, proceeding to place his paper on the teacher's desk. Braydon rolled his eyes slightly.. 'Classic Borae.' Eventually more and more people got up and placed their papers on Mr. Legges' desk, Braydon being one of them. Suddenly, the loudspeaker came on. "Attention everyone, today we have an important assembly. You will not be required to sit with your class." It boomed. The class got in a line and made their way to the gymnasium. Braydon sat next to his friends, Jordyn, Kacy, Giannina, Trinity, and Zoë. " I wonder what the assembly is about." Zoë said. "So do I." Giannina stated. "Probably an award ceremony or some crap.." Braydon said glumly. "Are you alright," Trinity asked "you seem upset." "I'm fine, I'm fine." Braydon assured his friend. "Ok.." Trinity said, clearly not believing him. The principal approached the front of the gymnasium, raising his hand. This was used as an act of silence at Braydon's school. "So, as many of you guessed. It's time for our Monday award ceremony." He said into the black microphone. "Would the following students come up to the front: Christian Cole, *random kid*, *random kid*, and Zoë Phipps." "Yay Zoë!" Braydon shouted. The other boys shouted out random things from Vine at Christian. Zoë and Christian both got a crappy Yo-yo and a juice box. Zoë tried to force a smile, but she knew she couldn't. Giannina laughed as Zoë walked towards them, Zoë shot her a stern look saying 'Shut up or else I'll hit you.' Braydon and Trinity laughed as the two started to hit each other playfully. Eventually the recess bell rang and the halls flooded with kids.
Kacy and Jordyn ran up to Braydon and Trinity, their feet thumping against the hard gravel. "You two were awfully silent at the assembly, everything alright?" Braydon asked, slightly worrying. "Oh, of course. Our teachers were just watching us like a hawk." Kacy said with a smirk. Jordyn nodded in agreement, smiling. After a 15 minute recess, The four split ways into their own classes.
Braydon groaned when he saw the math page in the textbook. "13 questions!" A girl named Sawson groaned. "We only have to get up to 10." Borae stated, smiling like he won a lottery, "But I'm going to do it all." Jaden gave Borae a 'light' pat on the back. Braydon started to write the date until loud explosion was heard, coming from a nearby apartment complex. A few students started to breath heavily, others thinking an earthquake was coming hid under their desks. Braydon stared out the window as more and more explosions went up, the horrifying images reflecting off his glasses.
