Chapter 1 Batman and Robin

Roy and Oliver were busy training. He was practicing what Oliver had taught him when they first became partners.

"You're doing pretty well so far Roy. " Said Oliver with sarcasm in his voice.
While Roy was attempting to use the Mongolian draw, Oliver was busy using a replica of a katana. The katana was a precious Japanese sword, crafted from the finest metals. However, Oliver's katana was made from iron, instead of silver and copper.

"Oliver, why are you even teaching me this?" Asked Roy as he was clearly confused. "You are my protégé, I must allow you to learn the rest by yourself. Protégés are supposed to be sidekicks." Explained Oliver as he grasped the compound bow and hooked up his fingers to the string. He was trying to portray a perfect Mongolian draw. "In order to execute this complex style of archery, you must rely on the position of your arms, and fingers." Oliver made sure his body was exactly facing the target, as he released the connection between his fingers and the string. The Mongolian draw relies on the strongest single digit, the thumb to guide the string.

"Thanks, Oliver! You finally have the courage to teach me." Responded Roy sarcastically. He took the iron bow and put in back in the case. "Okay. We've had enough training for today. You'll get the hang of it later on. You must first understand the meaning of this kind of training before you can actually learn. Patience is the key to success and so far your anger is tearing it apart. Try to channel that energy in a positive way." Oliver placed the bow, and katana in the chest. All of the sudden an alarm went off. The sound was extremely petrifying as if it were someone screaming with a high pitch voice. "Oliver we've got notification of Digger Harkness in A.R.G.U.S Labs. So far he's already injured quite a few people. This is an emergency, the two of you must be there now!" Yelled Rebecca Sparks, Oliver's former IT manager from Queen Consolidated.

Oliver was intrigued by the fact Digger, a.k.a Captain Boomerang chose to attack at a high-security building. He thought Digger was meant to be intelligent, but clearly, he has no knowledge of A.R.G.U.S's past.
"Rebecca, send us the coordinates, and we will hear the rest from there. Roy, get suited up, and gather the most vital weapons in our inventory." Oliver ordered as he grabbed his compound bow and a quiver of arrows.

As the partners in crime headed out the doors, Roy told his mentor something that has been on his mind. "Hey, Oliver! Instead of calling us Green Arrow and Arsenal, they should call us Batman and Robin." Stated Roy as he glanced at a poster of the two heroes on the wall.

"I think that's a great idea!" Replied Rebecca with a genuine response. "Let's just stick to our roots. Green Arrow and his apprentice Arsenal."Said, Oliver, as he walked out of the room with Roy following behind him.
