y/n walked next to draco as the five of them made their way down to hagrid's hut.

"a pity they let the old punishments die." filch ranted, "there was a time detention would find you hanging by your thumbs in the dungeons."

y/n furrowed her eyebrows at the strange man as the rest of them had wide eyes.

"god, i miss the screaming..."

weirdo... y/n thought.

they got closer to the hut and saw hagrid open his door, walking out to them.

"you'll be serving detention with hagrid tonight." filch informed.

y/n faintly smiled, knowing that detention was going to be all bad.

"he's got a little job to do inside the dark forest."

y/n's smile quickly disappeared as she gulped.

they stopped by a fire as filch began to speak to hagrid, "a sorry lot, this, hagrid."

y/n stood in between hermione and draco, the height difference going down like steps.

hagrid sniffed sadly as he didn't reply to filch.

"oh, good god, man, you're still not on about that bloody dragon, are you?"

y/n frowned, what's he on about?

like hagrid had read her mind, hagrid announced, "norbert's gone. dumbledore sent him off to romania to live in a colony."

hermione spoke up, "well, that's good, isn't it? he'll be with his own kind." she wondered.

y/n nodded with a little "yeah"

"yeah, but what if he don't like romania? what if the other dragons are mean to him? he's only a baby, after all." hagrid admitted.

filch rolled his eyes, "oh, for god's sake, pull yourself together, man. you're going into the forest, after all." he said.

y/n wanted to punch the man in the face.

"got to have your wits about you."

"the forest?" draco raised, "i thought that was a joke. we can't go in there."

y/n noticed the hint of fear in his voice and smirked slightly.

"students aren't allowed! and there are..." a howl was heard from the forest, as if on cue, "...werewolves!"

y/n saw hermione nervously fiddle with her sleeve.

"there's more than werewolves in those trees, lad. you can be sure of that." he told brutally, he began to walk back towards the castle, "nighty-night."
