Chapter 5 -Locked Away

Mention of  eating disorders.

It's been a few days since Nora and George broke up. Nora wasn't upset about the relationship ending, she was more upset about the thought that she might have lost one of her bestfriends. Her and George would pass eachother in the hall but they wouldn't even look at eachother, they woudd sit in class together but it was like they didnt exsit to eachother. It was hurting Nora. After a few days of them not talking she started to go a different way to class. Then a few days later there was still no contact. It was effecting Nora so much that by the end of 2 weeks of them not talking she locked her self in her room. She felt like everything was her fault, like she was the reason that her and George constantly fought. Was she the real problem. She constantly thought of reasons to make it her fault. She was over thinking every little thing.  All of her thoughts and feeling got her to the point where she couldn't get out of bed. She barley moved. She didn't eat which cause her to lose alot of weight. Alison gave her space for a while, moving in to a dorm with Luna, constantly checking up on Nora to make sure she was okay. On Alisons way to the dorm she ran into Fred standing at the bedroom door.

Hey Fred. Alison said.

Hey Alison. How is she doing? Fred asked.

I don't know. Last time I checked on her was a few hours ago. She was still laying in bed.

Fred and Alison walked into the dorm. Seeing Nora in that state hurt Fred.
Fred worried about her all the time but this, this was a different kind of worried. He has never worried about anyone like this before and he didn't understand what he was feeling.

Hey Ali? Fred said. Do you mind if Nora and I have some time alone?

Not at all, just let me grab some clothes. Alison Replied

Alison grabbed some clothes and walked to the door. Ill be back in a few hours. She said.

After Alison left, Fred walked over to the bed and sat down on the end of it. Looking at Nora and her physical state, Fred started to cry. He quickly wiped his tear away, not wanting Nora to notice even though she didn't seem to notice much. Fred had no idea what to say to her. He couldn't even think of any words.
At the realization that it was just Nora and Fred in the room. Nora looked at him, his head was facing the ground. She pushed her foot on to him, making his head lift. He immediatly climbed farther on to the bed sitting beside her.

Nora hadn't talked in at least a week. Her mouth was dry, her lips were cracked. She looked like glass. Fred didn't want to touch her. He was affraid to cause her pain.

Nora looked at him and immediatly started to cry. It was something about him being beside her that just made her feel something again. Fred almost instantly pulled her into a hug.

I thought we lost you. Fred said while whiping her tears from her face.

There was silence

Nora just stared still not talking.

It's okay. You don't need to say anything. Fred said while looking at her eyes.

They had super dark circles. It looked like she hadnt slept in days.

You should get some sleep. Fred said. I'll go so you can do that.

As Fred was about to leave Nora pulled his shirt, motioning him to lay down. So he did and right after that Nora laid her head on his chest, almost instantly falling asleep.

She looks so sweet when she's sleeping. Fred thought to himself. Looking around her room he saw a book on the bed side table and decided to read it since would be stuck under her for a while.
