Amity is at school feeling worried about Luz. She hasn't been answering her calls over the weekend and when she tries to pay her a visit to the Owl House, Hootie says that she wants to be left alone for the weekend.

That comment sounds like somebody would have a some sort of bad day. But Luz is pretty much the last person to ever feel any sort of negative emotions. She's so bubbly and full of joy, something super bad must've happened to her to have such a bad day.

Speaking of Luz, Amity sees the brunette walking down the hallway with her head looking down on the floor. Her worry of her best friend feeling moody is spiking up a bit, so she immediately checks up on her.

"Hey Luz!!" She greets.

"Hey Amity." Luz greets back in a sad low tone.

"I've been trying to contact you, is there something wrong?"

"It's......" Luz sighs and doesn't feel like talking about it at this point. But she knows how concerned Amity is. "We might talk about it during lunch ok?"

"Oh O-Ok."

"I'll see you in class." Luz walks to the classroom leaving Amity more concern than she ever had to Luz.

Now during lunch, Amity is sitting on the table with her lunch bag waiting for Luz to pop up. She hasn't cracked a single smile during class and when class is over, she suddenly disappears and starts to worry more and more.

Minutes of waiting, the young witch is finally able to spot the Dominican-American girl as she basically skipped the line where the food would be and immediately walks up to the table where her friend is sitting.

"Luz! There you are! Are you sure you feeling ok? Please, I need to know!" Amity is getting a tad bit desperate for answers. So Luz sighs and begins to explain.

"Look Amity, I know you're being a good friend and being concerned and all but really I'm just.....having bad day."

"Did something bad happened to you?"

When Amity asks that question, Luz is starting to become more of a downer than ever. It's almost like something is boiling up inside of her. She pretty much has no other choice but to open up to her.

"I'm.....I'm unable to go back home." She finally spills the beans.

"W-What do you mean?"

"The portal to my world has been destroyed and there's no other way for me to go back. My mom might be worried sick and thinking endlessly about me by now."

Amity's jaws slightly drop after hearing this. The young witch then sees Luz crying as she immediately places her right hand onto her left hand and starts comforting her.

"Hey.....I'm.....I'm sorry Luz....I'm really sorry. There......" Amity takes a deep breath. ".....there might be another way, ok?"

Luz sniffles and slowly nods her head up and down. She may feel a little bit better, but it's gonna be really hard to find another way for her to get home.

"Thanks Amity." Luz gets up from the chair and moves to the other side of the table and hugs Amity, making the witch's face being a little red.

"Y-You're welcome, Luz."

There's a part of Amity is feeling so much sympathy for her friend, but there's also a selfish part of her that she doesn't want her to go back to homeworld.

She's just started to get to know Luz a lot and her crush on her is becoming more massive. But the thought of her leaving the Boiling Isle, makes her feel a little empty inside. But for right now, she doesn't even want to think about it at all and just kinda see how things would go.
