What the hell?

Alfred calmly walked down the surprisingly mellow streets of New York. For once the place wasn't buzzing with people. Of course, there was still a good amount of them out and walking about while a few cars passed down the street.

"Huh.." He checked his watch to find that it was 15:47. "So that's why." He said quietly to himself as he put his hand back into his jacket's pocket. Streets become busy and crowded when it's 'rush hour' as he calls it. There's a time in the morning, when everyone wakes up early to either go to school and work, and another time in the afternoon, when everyone goes back home after a long day.

Alfred sighed as a small cloud followed suit from his mouth. Despite it being the start of February and the afternoon, the temperature was still fairly cold at 2 degrees. He mentally slapped himself for not bringing heavier attire. Alfred was currently wearing a grey turtleneck underneath a darker grey trench coat with blue jeans and a pair of boots. He also wore his black gloves he usually wore with his favorite bomber jacket.

Alfred looked up and saw a sky blue piano striped with white and black to his right on the other side of the road. He let out a breath and smiled and thought to himself, 'Why not?'

After waiting for pedestrian light, Alfred walked down to the other side of the street where the piano was. A small smile made it to his face when he saw the words "YOU WILL BE FOUND" painted onto the front of the piano.

He remembered watching the musical those words originated from and he'd be lying if he said he didn't love it.

Alfred carefully sat down on the (freezing) piano bench as he carefully took off his gloves, the cold air bit at his fingertips. He touched the piano keys and slightly flinched at how cold they were. He paid no mind after though, as he started to play. Alfred took a deep breath before he began to sing.

"You..

Put all your faith in my dreams

You gave me the world that I wanted

What did I do to deserve you?"

Already, a few people who were casually walking around came to Alfred, watching him sing and play. It was one to find someone who played the piano well, but to find someone who sang and played the piano wonderfully was like finding a dollar bill on the ground.

"I follow your steps with my feet

I walk on the road you started

I need you to know that I heard you, every word"

More people came over, adding to the number who watched Alfred play.

"I've waited way too long to say

Everything you mean to me"

Alfred had a sad but warm smile on his face. It was welcoming, in a way.

"In case you don't live forever, let me tell you now

I love you more than you'll ever wrap your head around

In case you don't live forever, let me tell you the truth

I'm everything that I am because of you."
