"Well, this is great. I mean, I didn't expect a party or anything, but I figured maybe someone would be here."

Oli paused, looking up at the town mural on the wall of the train station.

It was so falsely advertised, showcasing a peaceful and plentiful town filled with happy people and cheerful children. In reality, everyone was far too worried about debt and finance to be this happy. Everyone in that godforsaken town hated it there, nothing to do, and nowhere to go.

"Welcome home, Oli." He sighed to himself.

There seemed to be no one else here, other than the janitor making obnoxiously loud noises while he fixed the door to the front.

Oli looked around for a moment, taking in the new scenery of this place. This station had never been here before when he last lived here. Oh how times change, don't they?

He stared at the fiasco fox vending machine, grinning at the happy fox character on it. Fiasco Fox was his childhood crush, he loved all the commercials he appeared in and all of the charming art on the vending machines.

"Oh Fiasco Fox, you are too dreamy." He swooned.

Fiasco reminded him of a certain foxy friend of his back home. He kept a mental note in his head to greet Matt in the morning. That is, if Matt was still here. Nah, he probably was. No one ever left this town, well except for Oli, but he was back now!

As he walked towards the janitor, he let his eyes focus on the TV screen, currently playing a show that his dad liked. Garbo and Malloy, Oli hated how annoying they were. Before he left for college, he would always see his dad watching it on the couch.

Tom would complain, begging Oli to yell at their dad for doing nothing at home. But even if he did, their dad would get up for a few hours, and then go right back to the couch. He was tired from work, Oli bet. It wasn't too bad, atleast he didn't work all night like their mom did. She was rarely ever around for dinner some nights.

He shook those thoughts away, no time to bother thinking about his parents. He'll see them soon enough. He'll see Tom soon enough too, he can't wait to see his little brother after almost two years. It's been far too long since he's been home.

"Uhm, excuse me, but where is everybody?" Oli taps the janitor's shoulder with his paw.

He was alot shorter than this guy, since he was known for being one of the most frail-looking yet vicious wolves in his grade. Not alot of people dared to even look in his direction after the incident of freshman year. He still feels sorry for it, but it all happened so fast he doesn't even remember most of it.

The janitor was a tall bird, with a strong build and a small beard hanging off his beak. He looked tired, and absolutely bored with being here. He didn't seem to even acknowledge Oli's existence for a while.

"It's 10:45, it's closed." He mumbles, going back to his noisy work on the door.

Oli stood there, his tail swishing behind him nervously. He watched with bored eyes as the janitor drilled something into the door hinges. What was up with this guy?

"Not alot of folks getting off the last bus to Possum Springs these days, just you." He mumbles again, taking a step back to look at the door.

"So...isn't there supposed to be someone at the front desk or something?" Oli asks, looking beside him to see a front desk closed with no one occupying it.

How odd, why would this place be lit up and the TV running if the only person here was the janitor? Maybe he was a ghost, or he killed everyone that worked here and was hiding the bodies from him. Oli smirked to himself, he clearly knew this innocent looking janitor's secrets.
