We had been walking for hours. We had left the warehouse to find miles of deserted and lonely land. Nothing in sight except dead ferns and spiky bushes that stayed low to the ground and were in just the perfect spot as to stab you every time. We both were quiet. Alex had been humming for awhile but soon it was too much. we had to conserve our water and... wait! There's a building! We were cresting a hill and I saw it at the bottom. There was a whole town! The building was right on the edge.
"Alex! Look!" I shouted
"Yes, yes! we're saved! Thanks Jesus!" Alex yelled and laughed.
We ran to the building shouting and screaming out of excitement. I turned right around to Alex and planted a kiss. He hugged me. We stopped and looked at the building's door. It looked like a diner. Its blinds were closed but it had an open sign on.
We both opened the door together still excited and relieved. We walked in to find ourselves looking straight down the barrel of a gun."I said there's only one way out of the mob" said Andrew.
