"Have you got James?" Remus asked his daughter as he took a hold of her hand.
They were going to apparate to Kings Cross, something Ellie had never experienced before. Her father wanted to make sure she had everything. Always the one to worry that one was.
"Yes Father, I have James," She replied before feeling something lightly digging into her forearm. Looking to the side, she found the black owl to be staring right back at her while he perched on her arm.
"Well now I do," Ellie jokingly commented. Remus let out an airy laugh before proceeding to lecture her on not being nervous to apparate.
"Now remember Ellie, you mustn't be afraid to use apparition. All you have to do is stay focused on where you want to go and you won't get splinched."
"Okay okay, can we go now?"
"Do you want to go or not?" He sternly questioned her.
"Sorry, Father. I'm just excited is all, lets go now."
He simply nodded his head, focused his mind on the station, and then left to the place he once called "the way to home."
*Disapparation Time Skip*
Black smoke dissolved around the two as they landed between platforms nine and ten at London's King Cross Station. Ellie had the strong urge to vomit. She had not expected that. And she came across a blank wall or more commonly known to the wizarding world as the barrier.
"Ellie?"
"Mhm?"
"Are you alright?"
Ellie looked towards her Father, whose face instantly became worried; there were tears in her eyes. "What if I'm not good Dad?"
Remus gasped and knelt in front of his daughter, placing his hands on her shoulders. "Ellie, how could you ever think that?"
Ellie wiped the water from her cheeks with the back of her hand. "I don't know."
"Listen to me my Pup." Ellie looked at her Father with bloodshot eyes. "You are one of the bravest, kindest, talented people I've ever known, better than me. You'll do great things, unlike me. So don't for a second think that you won't be good because I'll be bloody damned if you don't grow up to be the most talented witch ever."
Ellie exhaled a breath she didn't know she'd been holding. She felt as though a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. "Thanks, Dad."
"What are Fathers for?"
Ellie laughed and glanced at her Dad one more time only to find that he wasn't there, having disapparated. She sighed.
"Well, James, here goes nothing," she mumbled before beginning to run toward the wall, gripping her cart and feeling James tighten his grip on her before she appeared on the other side.
Sighing in relief at the fact nothing had happened to her, she took in the sight of all the scuttling wizards and witches around her.
"Platform 9¾," she smiled.
Ellie's breath hitched as she saw the train that would be taking her home, The Hogwarts Express.
Wanting so badly to already be at the school she eagerly hauled her stuff off the cart and made her way onto the train.
Ellie pressed past multiple people as she walked further into her transport and came across an empty compartment. Deciding it was best if she sat alone(thinking nobody would want to sit with her)she shoved her luggage up onto the bag racks, laying herself down and resting her back on the wall.
