"Shit! Shit! Shiiiitttt!!!" 

Itaru's fingers were just a blur as he swiftly pressed the buttons on his controller. He couldn't let this guy beat him, not again!

Itaru's fingers kept moving faster and faster, but his SP just kept on getting lower and lower. A drip of sweat slowly ran down his face.

"Not this time noob!!!" He yelled at the computer. 

Itaru hated this guy SO much right now! He had been trying to reclaim his place in the ranks for a while now, but just couldn't. It really pissed him off that some loser thinks he can come along and steel his spot on the throne!

BAM!!! 

Big red letters suddenly appeared on his screen.

YOU DIED!!!

"Nooo!!!" Itaru's hands dropped in frustration. "Again!?"

He sighed and rubbed his tired face. It's now almost midnight and he was exhausted. But he was so sick of this guy kicking his ass he could scream! He had to keep trying. 

He reached for his controller, which was now laying on the floor. 

"Hey Itaru? You still up?"

A girls voice came through his headphones. 

Finally!!!

"Hey (Y/N)! Yeah, I'm up......" He replied. "Took you long enough!"

"Sorry, I had to study." 

"Oh, gag!" Itaru joked.

"Hehe!" You laughed. "IKR?" 

Itaru cracked a small smile. Your laugh always made him smile...... He met you through this game and you had been playing together often for about a month now. You were a very good gamer and you would often help help out during events. Even though he's never seen you face-to-face, he likes to thinks that you and him have become friends. At least gaming friends, but that's it.

"Itaru?? You there?" 

Your sweet voice rang into his headphones.

"Oh, yeah yeah I'm here!" 

"Hmm. Well ok." You said " So, whose ass needs kicked tonight!"

"Haha! Love the determination!" Itaru said. "You know, there is one asshole that I haven't been able to beat. He's got a-" 

"Wait what?!?! Someone beat the mighty gamer king Itaru?!?" You laughed. "Lol!! No way!!!" 

Even though you couldn't see it, Itaru rolled his eyes.

"Hold on! Let me look at the ranks!" You said. It only took you a few seconds to pull up the ranks board. 

"Well, would you look at that! So it's this NEO guy then, huh?"
