                                              4th grade
                          You entered your 4th grade class excitedly you hoped to see your best friend shotaro and there he was sitting at his desk writing
                          Y/n: taro!!!" you run to him

                          Shotaro: hi y/n" he hugs you 
                          Y/n: hi!" You smiled brightly at him 
                          Shotaro: want to write a letter with me?" he hands you a piece of paper and a pencil
                          Y/n: sure" you sit on the desk next to him and write a letter to him and your parents about how you appreciate them
                          6th grade 
                          Shotaro looked around the class endlessly for you you said you would be here for the first day of 6th grade but where were you? He pouted and dreaded the whole day not having his first friend by his side on his first day 
                          The next day shotaro slowly walked to his classroom thinking you wouldn't be there but he saw you waving at him as he entered the classroom replacing his frown with a smile 
                          Shotaro: y/n!!!" He immediately runs to you 
                          Y/n: hii taro" you hug him
                          Shotaro: why weren't you here on the first day of school?
                          Y/n: my cat died" you frowned 
                          Shotaro: I'm sorry" he frowns with you 
                          Y/n: did you guys do anything fun yesterday?
                          Shotaro: no it was really boring and we had homework ):
                          8th grade
                          As you got older your friend group got bigger and you only started to hang with shotaro on weekends and sometimes forgot to as well this made him sad and annoyed
                          He was happy to see you have more friends but he felt left out he was your friend before them but he felt pushed out of your friend circle 
                          Y/n: taro what's wrong?" You asked as he sat down during gym class 
                          Shotaro: nothing 
                          Y/n: you look sad
                          Shotaro: no I'm okay" he smiles at you
                          Friend: y/n come on so we can continue the game!
                          Shotaro: you should go to your friends
                          You give him a small smile and walk back to the game of volleyball with your friends
                          10th grade
                          You stayed friends with everyone from 8th grade and your circle got bigger and the time you spent with shotaro got lesser
                          Shotaro: why do you always hang out with them more than me" he mumbles as you guys walked to class together 
                          Y/n: I do hang out with you
                          Shotaro: not anymore, you spend more time with them than me but I was your friend before them
                          Y/n: but taro you can't blame me if you always push yourself away from me and never tell me anything when I ask what's wrong
                          Shotaro: cause I know you don't care about me anymore" he walks ahead of you leaving you in thoughts and regret
