III

I realize how toxic our relationship was, he was always the one that took and took. He treated our relationship as 40-60 not 50-50, he didn't think we were equals.

I got home after drinking a cup of coffee that I got from a coffee shop near the bookstore. It wasn't really good, it tasted cheap.

I took iff my dress and put on comfier clothes and tied my hair up. The sun was starting to set so I decided to prepare dinner.

I decided to prepare dinner when I hear my phone ring from the coffee table in the living room.

The whole house was just pretty much one room. The house had books and plants all over the place.

I go to see who's calling it was Rowan.

"Hello? Flora i'm literally so hungry, did you have dinner yet?" She whined.

"I'm about to eat, i'm gonna finish all the food if you don't come here in 5 minutes. I said while smiling.

I live with her but she went to her parents for a week, she was finally home. It was getting lonely being here in the apartment alone.

I ended the call and went to get another plate and cutlery from the kitchen.

I hear the door open and I look at the door, she was finally here.

"Oh my god, you're finally here" I said, hugging her. "Wow, I didn't know you were that in-love with me.

We giggled together and sat down on the dining table and ate together. I prepared rice and an omelette egg, I didn't prepare much so I wasn't full.

I hear my phone ding, it was June.

June: hey, did you have dinner yet? :)

Me: I did but i'm not full yet 😔

June: Do you want to eat with me then?

Me: Wow, quite a gentleman aren't you 😏

June: I'm just being nice 🙄

Me: Okay Mr. Nice guy

June: ok but will you come have dinner? 🤔

Me: ok i will 😩

June: The address is yyy street

I giggled and said goodbye to him.

"Rowan, i'm going to a friends house!" I said smiling

"A friend, hmm?" She asked a smirked

"Just a friend Rowan." I smiled.

I walk out the door and started walking to his house, it was near here so I could.

I arrive to his house and I knocked on his door. A tall man opened the door, he had dirty blonde hair, he was thin but he had muscles.

"Uhm, is June here?" I asked awkwardly, "Oh, are you Flora?" He asked his face lighting up. "Oh yeah!" I smiled.

He told me to come in, the house was quite large, but it was cozy. Plants scattered around the place. I see June walking down the stairs, his face lighting up after he saw me.

"Flora, you're here!" He said hugging me.
I blushed at the contact, but I hugged back.

"I'm so sorry for hugging you so suddenly." He said letting go, his face in a shade of red. I giggle at him. He was a lot shyer in real life.

We walked to their dining table, 3 plates on the table with utensils, and pasta in the middle of the circular table.

"Wow, dud you prepare this June?" I said, playfully punching him playfully on the arm. "Yeah, I made it extra special since you were coming here." He smiled.

We started eating together with Cedar, the guy who greeted me at the door. June and him were roommates along with one other guy who was out with his girlfriend. His name was Carlos, he was a but older than the both of them, but all of them were friends.

We finished eating dinner and the three of us were sitting in the living room watching a film, specifically it was a horror movie. The three of us screamed at a jump scare, and after we would giggled together.

When it finished it was really late and I was scared at going home alone. "Hey, June can you please walk me home?" I whispered. "Maybe you could just stay over?" Cedar asked yawning.
"Yeah, you could just stay" He muttered obviously a bit tired. "Well, okay if you guys insist" I fake rolled my eyes, the both if them laughing at my behavior.

"So, where am I staying?" I ask getting up from the couch, stretching. "You could stay in the guest bedroom." Cedar yawned.

I nodded in response, grabbing my phone from my pocket. I texted Rowan I wasn't going to come home since it was late.

Rowan: Why? 😏

Me: It's a secret 🤪

Rowan: Ok then, make sure to tell my if you get in a relationship ok? 🙄

Me: I'm at a friends house

Rowan: ofcourse you are 🙄 but I gtg, im tired 🙌

Me: Bye bae 🥺💕

Rowan: Bye babe 🧍‍♀️

I look at the time on my phone, it was 9:30pm, I closed my phone and put it on the coffee table. I yawned and whispered to June, "Can I go to the guest room now? I'm really tired." I yawned exaggeratedly.

"Okay I'll show you the way." He got up and I followed him.
