"Why?" I asked the man before me, his face void of expressions. His soft blonde hair laid calm, I always liked when it's wild. I can see the traces of guilt in his electrifying eyes, but he cannot see the love in my heart.

"Why would you do this to me, Vincent?" I asked, my voice cracked, I don't want to cry but tears leaked from my eyes without my permission. He turned his eyes to the woman sitting next to him, his lover, his arm around her waist, protectively wrapped.

"Please sign the divorce documents Miss. Lorenzo, I don't have much time to stay here" He said as he looked at me, his tone sharp and rough, it made my heart break into million pieces.

"I thought you moved on from her," I said looking at the beautiful woman beside him, she looked like a model who belongs on the magazine, her belly slightly round indicating her 2-month pregnancy, she sat closer to his chest so she can stay far away from me.

I can feel my lungs tightening as I tried to stop myself from crying, I have to be strong, I can't let them break me.

My hands hesitated as his lawyer gave me the documents along with an expensive-looking pen, I can feel my mind running crazy and my body acting on its own, I slowly took the papers and placed them on my lap, ready to sign the documents he asked me to.

He averted his stormy eyes as I looked at him, I can feel the urgency and annoyance radiating from him and his lover, he wanted me to sign this so he can get over with this.

I wiped my tears with the back of my hand and forcefully stopped myself from crying, I can do this, he doesn't need me, he doesn't deserve to know that I have his seed inside of me, he doesn't deserve me either.

I took a deep breath and signed the divorce documents, from this day onwards I wasn't his or he wasn't mine, I can't call the handsome man before me as my husband anymore, he won't kiss me or smile at me anymore, I have to forget the 3 months of marriage between us.

"I will give you this house and--" he began speaking but I cut him off

"I don't need your money or property" he looked shocked at me and let a breath of annoyance, the women next to him caressed his thigh so he can calm down, I can feel the bile loading up in my throat, I need to get away from this hell of a place.

Slowly they stood up and looked at me but I didn't look back at them, I might break my strong facade and cry if I looked at him, I glared at the expensive glass table before me

"Let's leave Paige" he whispered to his lover next to him, Paige Margaret, the one he promised me that he moved on, for the one he abandoned me in this mansion as he cheated on me with her, the one who's pregnant with his child.

His hand is still on her small waist as they left the front door, the lawyer and his assistants slowly leaving after them leaving me all alone in this huge house again, my cries broke as I heard the car start and leave

I couldn't hold it anymore as I broke on the sofa, cried out loud as I hugged myself, I can feel the arm of sofa poking into my shoulder as I'm crying but I couldn't careless, it hit me like tons of bricks that he abandoned me, he left me, he cheated on me while he was married to me, I wasn't his priority, I wasn't the women he loved, my marriage was over, I'm a divorced woman now, he ruined my life.

I slowly took out the pregnancy test from the handbag, my tears slowly calming down, I realised I won't be alone as I looked at two lines on the pregnancy test

"I'll live for you baby, I'll be strong for you" I whispered as my hand Instinctively touched my belly which is now with a baby, I wanted to surprise him with his heir but he surprised me with divorce papers and a pregnant lover

"I'll take you far away from this horrible place baby, I'll protect you from toxicity and judgement from society, I'll be the best mama for you" I whispered and hugged my belly, my body exhausted from all the crying, my eyes threatened to close, I can do this.
