Vani: Against All Odds

Prologue

Location: Somewhere in Naglok

Jai was pacing around, angry and agitated. These nags were too much, sb ke sb adi naagin ke andh bhakt. He recalled his conversations with numerous important nags and naagins over the span of weeks.

Nahi Adi Naag, aapko galatfahmi hui hai. Adi Naagin ne naag vansh ko koi Dokha nahi diya

Adi Nag, Cheel aur Naagin ka Milan khud bholenath ne swikara hai. Humare aradhya ko koi aapatti nahi h toh hume kyun hogi. Ye unhi ki marzi hai and hume bhi swikar hai

None of the nags had entertained him. He told them over and over that Bani needs to be punished but so many things were in her favour. Bholenath had blessed their union, this intensified his hatred as for him, this was another injustice. First was making Bani more powerful. Moreover, some nags had witnessed Veer and Bani unite and take ardhnarishwar roop to end markaat. The word spread and now they were like god who had ended the evil force which posed a threat to naglok as well. Those who witnessed vani together like that or heard about it had no doubt that this union was blessed. Thus, Jai's plans to turn naglok against her telling them that she had ditched them by marrying a cheel went down the drain.

His second plan was to make nags hungry for Bani's powers but the moment he told this to Naagrani Bella, she smacked him down. He was taken aback by how she attacked the great adi nag and also how could she do it so easily.

Flashback to a week ago

B: ha! Kya hua? Hairan ho ek naagin ne adi nag pr var kaise kiya...uttar hai mere pass iska. Karan ye hai ki tum kamzor ho...tumne gaddari ki hai naag vansh ke sath us markaat ke sath hath milla kr. Tumne panditji ko mara, ek naag hokr naag mandir me naag pandit ko hi maar dala ...masumo ki jaan li...chi!...dafa ho jao yahan se.. wrna bholenath ke kehne pr tumhare saare papo ka ghada nahi foda hai adi naagin ke samne pr mujhe sb pata hai aur doobara tumne gandagi failane ki koshish ki na to sb bata dungi mai...

Jai left humiliated and his hatred for Bani intensified. Moreover, even the person he thought would side with her, Shesha, had not said any nice words for him. She looked at him as if he was some pest, like a toad bathed in gutter water and went away. He had been insulted in the nag court by Nagrani and everyone important knew all his kali kartoots. He had lost all hopes but then Arijit came to him. He thought adi nag was innocent and had been cheated by adi naagin by marrying the cheel. Jai then manipulated him into believing that he was never with markaat and did not do anything he was accused of. Bani made it all up so that she could justify her choosing the cheel over him. Stupid boy had believed him. Once he took sides with Jai, Jai reached out to his friends. Though they were not stupid, they were very smart to see the truth but they were also power hungry. Jai promised them a share in Bani's powers. After numerous failed attempts, Jai managed to gather the support of about tweleve nags. It was not much given that he was adi nag and only tweleve nags entertained him in the entire nag lok but he had to do with what he had and hope that shukla would have some support as well.

Knock knock

A knock at the door got him out of his thoughts. It was the nags.

N: Hum tayyar hai Jai

J: Oye adi naag hoon mai, izzat se

N: Kitni izzat hai hume pata hai...kaam to izzat wale kiye nahi hai. Saath de rahe hai na...ab izzat ke liye mt bheekh maang

A: Tum log kaise baat kr rahe ho adi naag se

The nags rolled their eyes. They began murmuring.

Bewakoof! sko kyu saath rakha hai is Jai ne!

Arey akele ye hi to izzat deta hai

Haan, he bhi sahi hai

Hehehehe

J: Khamosh! Chalo yahan se.

They all left the naglok and reached a cave on pandupi pahad. They did not wait for long as a old cheel soon made his way to them.

S: Tum sb ko itna samaya kaise lg gaya?

J: Vo sb chor, tere saathi?

Shukla looked down in shame. Jai became furious. He dragged him to a side.

J: Kissi kaam ke nahi ho...kuch cheel nahi jugad kr paye. Naagon me loyalty zyada hoti hai phir bhi mai barah nag le aya aur tum?

S: Arey meri kya galti hai. Ek to cheelo ke jashn me adi naagin ne sabko bachaya. Aur to aur swayam humare kul dev ne inka rishta swikar liya... kya kehta sbse ki vo against ho jaye?

J: kya bakwas hai? Koi nahi mana?

S: Loyalty km hoti hai na...to fark bhi utna hi km padta hai.. humare kul me koi kissi ke saath kuch bhi kare, itna nahi sochte....naagin se problem hoti pr adi naagin ko sbne swikar liya....aur to aur cheelon ke saath gaddari krne ke chakkr me sb meri jaan ke peeche pade hai...mai kya bolta jb mujhe dekhte hi sb meri jaan lene aa jaate hai..

J: Uff! Tu kissi kaam ka nahi hai...ab inse hi kaam chalana hoga..

Jai and shukla looked at all their support and began hatching plans.

Meanwhile in Singhania Mansion:

Bani was running, furious and angry. Her face was as red as her saree and her hair flowed away as she chased her husband in the garden.

B: Ruko tum, ruko Veeranshu. Aaj to tumhari khair nahi. Kya keh rahe they andr...

V: Maine kya kaha sweetheart...haha! Bani...maan jao na

B: (mimics him) Sweetheart aaj toh mujhe sone dena...kl jaldi uthna hai na... meeting hai..

Veer smirked at him and Bani stopped stomping her feet.

B: sbke chahre dekhe they...mujhe kitni sharam ayi pata hai...abhi ponky bhi mujhe bolla ki bhabhi bhai ko sone dena...bechare me utni stamina nahi hai..thak jayenge bina proper sleep ke..

V: Aisa kaha us piddi ne...stamina hun?

B: To kya galat kaha usne..

V: Gharwali? Ye tum to mt kaho...abhi chalo room me, batana hoon kitni stamina hai..

B:Ji nahi...sona hai na tumhe...to so jao...aaj tum guest room me sone waale ho..

V: Gharwali? Sweetheart? Tumne mazak ko zyada serious le liya shyd.

B: Mai mazak nahi kr rahi....kl meeting hai...mere sath so nahi pate na...to jao guest room...ready krwa diya hai maine...kapde bhi wahin bhijwa dungi...khabardar jo mere pass aye toh..

Bani left. Now, unlike a few moments ago, it was the other way round as Bani walked away and Veer was following her like a puppy. Trying to convince her to let him in as Bani tried to shove her smile down.
