~Brielle's POV~
The next two weeks passed rather quickly and, before I even knew it, the first day of college had arrived. I woke up that morning feeling a little nervous, not entirely ready to start college on my own.
I crawled my way out of bed, my pink hair a tangled mess on my head as I headed into the bathroom connected to my room. I took off my pajamas and turned on the shower, using the toilet whilst I waited for the water to heat. My first class was supposed to start at nine AM, and I didn't want to be late, so I had woken up at seven thirty AM to be sure I had enough time to get ready and then take the bus to school.
After I finished using the restroom, I hopped into the shower and began to get myself clean. I usually only took about twenty minute showers, so it didn't take me very long before I turned off the water and stepped out to wrap myself in a fluffy light brown towel. I'd already brushed my teeth before I showered, so I headed into my room to finish getting ready the rest of the way. It took me longer than necessary, only because I couldn't find the right pair of sweatpants that I was looking for, but when I was ready I grabbed my bag, phone, and made sure I brushed my hair before leaving my apartment.
The bus ride to my college ended up being about fifteen minutes, but that was mostly because it kept stopping to let other people off where they needed to go. When I did get dropped off, it was just a minute or so walk from the actual college, since they didn't really drop people off directly in front of the college, unfortunately. Still, I was lucky that I had a ride here either way instead of having to walk.
As I stood in front of the school, staring up at it, I felt my heart beginning to race nervously as I realized I was about to enter a new school full of people I didn't know. All of the sudden, somebody slammed into me from behind, causing me to yelp in surprise and stumbled forward over my feet. "Shit!" The voice of a guy exclaimed, grabbing my wrist before I could fall down. I turned around, pulling away as I came face to face with a very large, muscular man who looked like he could snap my bones in one hand of his. A little nervous, I took a step back, putting some distance between him and I.
"A-Are you okay?" I asked him, fiddling with the straps of my bag. He nodded his head and glared over his shoulder as another man walked up behind him, smirking in amusement. "You shoved me into some little girl, dude." He said grumpily, causing me to curiously look over at the man he was speaking to. To my surprise, I recognized the man who had evidently shoved this guy into me. It was Phoenix Boyd.
Phoenix recognized me at the same time that I recognized him, a smirk forming on his face as his eyes landed on me. "You." He said, his brown eyes on mine. My face burned and I swallowed thickly, growing even more anxious. "U-Um..." I mumbled, looking away awkwardly.
"You know this girl?" The man asked, looking back and forth between Phoenix and I. Phoenix stopped beside his friend and I realized that he was so tall he even was taller than his friend, who looked about six feet tall. He must've been at least six foot three. "Know is definitely a strong word." Phoenix responded in a mutter, continuing to stare at me. "I saw her at one of my matches about two weeks ago, jumping around in the crowd because there was a guy standing in front of her. She was too short to see the ring over him." He recalled to his friend, which just made me relive the humiliation of him scolding me for having done that.
His friend laughed and looked down at me with a friendly smile. "I'm Matias." He finally introduced himself to me, holding his out for me to shake. As he did so, the sleeve on his long-sleeved shirt rose a little, displaying dark ink on his skin. I assumed he had a sleeve up his left arm, because of the way it wrapped around his entire wrist like a cuff and disappeared beneath the sleeve. "I'm Brielle." I responded softly, my heart racing as I placed my hand in his. I hoped my hand wasn't grossly sweaty or anything. That'd be so embarrassing.
