Ep. 04

*The next week*

Sehun's POV:

I got ready quickly for my office. I saw a female figure in the kitchen as I sat at the dining table. I heard her humming & singing. "Here's your breakfast", Lina said & served my breakfast. I never saw her wake up this early. "You look very happy today", I asked her while digging into my food. "Huh? Um... Nothing", she replied & started humming again. I stared at her back for some moments. Though she behaves rudely sometimes but in reality she's a very soft person. Ay~ Why am I thinking this all of a sudden. I released a deep sigh & finished my food quickly.

*At office*

"Sir, we got an important project & we have to finish it by next week", Wendy said & handed me a file. "Then all of us need to work all night", I said while glancing inside the file. "Um... Ms. Wendy, what about the new employee, Mark Tuan", I asked her. "Sir, he's doing great" "Hm... That's good" "Sir... Shall we take him in this... project?" "Yes, take him, if he's performing good" "Okay, sir". She bowed & left my room. Someone entered my room out of the blue. "Boss~~~", Jongin whined. "What now?" "Let's drink together tonight" "Have you heard that we got a new project & we need to finish it by the next week?" "I heard about that sh*tty project. But if we get drunk tonight & start the project from tomorrow then our mind will be fresh" "You go & start the project with freshness. I won't go with you" "O~kay~ You know about the new employee, Mark?" "Hmm" "I don't know why but he looks a bit... um..." "Don't judge a book by it's cover" "No! I'm not judging him but there's something fishy" "What's that?" "I can't understand either but looks like I have seen him somewhere. His face, voice, style everything looks very familiar to me. Whatever" "Tonight you, Johnny, Jimin, Mark, Wendy & Taeyong, you guys will come with me to my home. We'll start our project from tonight" "Okay~ Uh who's calling me now. See ya later, bro". He said & left my room. I also feel like I know Mark but I can't recall it. Anyways, I should leave these thoughts & focus on my work.

*At night*

"Aren't we supposed to go to your mansion?", Jongin asked. I nodded no. "Sir, do you live alone now?", Jimin asked. Why do this girl need to know everything!? So annoying. I didn't answered her. She stayed quite after that situation.

Lina's POV:

I worked a lot today. Time to go home now. "Yo my baby sis!", oppa entered my room all of a sudden & greeted. I stepped back a little. "Oppa~! You scared me!", I yelled. He chuckled. "Your work is finished for today. You will go home now, right?", he asked. I nodded. "Okay then bye! See ya tomorrow!" "Bye bye!! Oppa"

*At home*

I parked my car in the garage & went inside the house. "You're home al- Uh...", I saw a group of people in the living room. "They're my employees. We got a new project & we have to finish it as soon as possible. So... I thought to bring them here", Sehun said. "Oh! Hello everyone, nice to meet you all", I greeted them. They also greeted me & gave their introduction, except a girl. She just gave me a death glare. "Sorry, sir. I got a call from-", my eyes quickly widen when I saw Mark approaching Sehun. "What are you doing here?", I asked Mark with no emotion on my face. "You guys know each other?", Sehun asked. I nodded. "Li-Li-Lina! Is it really you?", he asked & tried to come nearer to me. "STAY RIGHT THERE!!", I shouted. Everyone looked at me with widen eyes. The rude girl threw the file which was in her hand rudely on the table. "Mr. Mark! You should have told us that you have a relationship with this girl", that girl said. "Shin Ji Min! Mind your language. She's my wife!", Sehun said with a cold tone. I could feel tears streaming down my cheeks. "Lili! How could you betray me", Mark said with shocking face. "Please say it's a lie. You're not married, please Lina", he said in a sad voice. "Shut up! You hurt me a lot", I said. "B-b-but Lina... we aren't over yet!", he said nervously. "I don't want to hear anything. I don't have any relation with you nor I had", my voice cracked. I wiped my tears & went to my room. I sat on my bed. What does he think of me!? 4 years before he disappeared all of a sudden. And now he appeared in front of me out of the blue. Am I his doll!? I took the glass of water from the bedside table & drank it. I didn't noticed when I broke the glass into pieces with my grip. Blood started dripping from my hand.

*Time skip*

I felt a weird pain in my hand. I sat up & saw a male figure sitting beside me, putting something on my wounded hand. The whole room is dark. Only a few rays of moonlight reflected inside the room that made it beautiful. "Why are you here again?", I asked Sehun. He didn't answer me. I tried to pull my hand from his grip but he grabbed it. "Are you a psycho? Huh! Look you turned pale because of this heavy bleeding. Stupid!", he scolded. "I don't need your help. Leave my hand!", I said with an annoyed tone. He gave me a death glare. "S-T-A-Y S-T-I-L-L! Or you will hurt yourself", he said with a cold tone. "There are still some little pieces of the glass. So you have to go for dressing", he said while wrapping the bandage around my palm. "No! I won't go! You got a problem", I said angrily & look away. Suddenly he grabbed my chin & stared at my eyes with a furious look. I gulped. "O-ok f-fine... I will go", I stuttered. He released my chin slowly. "Can I ask you something?", he asked while looking away. I curiously look at him. He's avoiding my gaze. "Um... I'm sorry to ask you this but what kind of relation did you had with Mark? Can I know?", he asked. I looked down. I don't want to talk about this topic but as he asked me then I have to answer him. "He was my boyfriend when we were in college. But he suddenly went to abroad not even saying me a goodbye", my eyes teared up, "I waited for him everyday & night. But he didn't come. I tried to contact with him but he ignored. I also tried to commit suicide. But unluckily I survived. And now after so many years, he appeared in front of me all of a sudden", tears started streaming down my cheeks. I felt Sehun looking at me with a pathetic look. "After that incident, I was always afraid of falling in love. I always thought that if I ever fall in love with someone then I will get betrayed by him again. I didn't want to hurt myself nor my family & friends", my voice cracked. I bit my lower lip & kept sobbing. He left quietly.

Sehun's POV:

I'm feeling very bad for her. Because of a guy, she's now afraid of falling in love with anyone else. I leaned back to the headboard. My phone started ringing all of a sudden. Who the f*ck is calling me right now! Is it even a time to call someone!! I received it angrily. "Sehun! Don't dare to touch my Lina. Or you will have to pay for it", I heard a familiar voice talking on the other side of the call. I checked the caller ID. "But she refused you, Mark. Moreover she's my wife now" "I don't accept this f*cking marriage!! I said you will not touch Lina means you will not!" "Stop shouting! Uf! And listen, you're just my employee. I didn't give you the right of saying anything about my wife. Bye!!". I said & cut the call. What a jerk!

*The next morning*

*Phone buzzes*

"Hello..... Dad...", I said with a sleepy voice. "Good morning, my son! How's your day going" "Fine....." "Haven't you woken up yet?" "No..... It's Sunday.... that's why!" "Oh okay! Come home with Lina whenever you wake up" "O~ kay~ Bye~ Dad" "Bye dear". We exchanged byes & I went back to sleep again. Why did dad call me & Lina all of a sudden? Must be something important. I heard knocking at my door then it opened. "Here's your coffee", I heard a female voice. I remove my blanket from my face & saw Lina. "Thank you... Dad called us at our mansion", I said. She gave me a confusing look. "Why?", she asked. "I-D-K", I replied. She left the room.
