Chapter 7

That Kiel

We ate our dinner late. It's already 8pm when we finished our meal.

We are on our way on our villa. When Crain put his hands on my waist, i look at him.

"What's the matter?" i asked him with a soft voice.

I am always this soft when we're having a serious talk. That's why this conversation makes me worry.

"Stell has been doubting me these days. Though I'm not doing anything." he said seriously while his head is resting on my shoulders.

Ysa said she'll go to the villa early. So I assumed she's sleeping already.

"Maybe her friends saw you hanging out with someone?" i asked him

"I'm not cheating on her, ay ewan ko ba." problemado niyang sabi.

He's really this serious when he fell inlove. How lucky Stell was, to have this kind of man.

"Yeah, I know you well. But hindi naman maiiwasan ang flings right?" i said

"Pero babae naman ang lumalapit sakin. Nilalayuan ko naman eh." natatawa niyang turan sakin.

"So pogi naman." i said sarcastically.

"Pero, kausapin mo parin sya. Try having a peace talk, and closure --- kailangan magkaron kayo ng closure." i suggested

"Try to make some time with her. Wait ----------

am I a problem in your relationship?" nabigla rin ako sa sarili kong tanong.

Nakaupo na kami sa may labas ng villa namin. For sure matatagalan ang kwentuhang ito.

He remained silent.

Gosh! Don't tell me I am the one that's making her jealous.

"Uhh-------" tila nangangapa pa sya ng salitang sasabihin.

"Gosh! for pete's sake I'm your freaking bestfriend." i said as i shook my head.

"Yes, that's what I always explain to her." nalulungkot niyang sabi.

"Hindi niya maintindihan." he said disappointedly.

I look at his eyes. I saw his teary eyes, oh no.

I couldn't bear seeing him this fragile.

He's a cool guy, arrogant sometimes, but he's not always like this.

I can't watch this kind of scene again, I once broke his heart. But this time I won't let myself to be the reason of his another heartbreak.

I can't, i literally can't be too selfish to keep him beside me just for my own benefit.

I wouldn't take it, if I am going to see him broken. Again.

"Do I have to distance myself?" sadly, I asked him if that can be a good option.

"No!, ano ka ba. Ako na bahala sa kung anong problema namin." but i know he's really struggling.

"I just can't be the reason. I don't wanna be the reason why you're going to go this way." i said in a determined tone.

"Again." but this time, my voice suddenly broke.

Bumuhos lahat ang pinipigilan kong mga luha.

Yeah what you heard was right, we've been issued before. He asked me if he can have a chance to court me.

But it's just really a different matter. We were talking about our friendship, and i couldn't bear to lose him that way.

He's a gentleman, caring, able to protect you at all cost, sweet, plus he's handsome and musculine. An ideal guy for many girls around.
