Mission to the land of Waves

Two figures were walking to a small town in fire country, even though they were walking their pace was increased due to the mission they were given and the older of the pair didn't settle for anything less than success.

As they walked into the town Koen and Yamato saw three nins from Kusagakure who were undoubtedly there for the mission objective. As they neared the three Yamato spoke "Are you here for the package?" He asked and received a nod from the jounin of the group "Why are there only two of you?" The jounin asked "He is my apprentice." Yamato answered and gave the man a scroll before he turned and left with Koen.

"That went better than I expected." Koen said "Yes, but we got the job done so now we can go back to the village." Yamato answered but unfortunately luck was not on their side as a messager hawk landed on Yamato's shoulder.

"A message from Konoha, what does it say?" Koen asked after Yamato read the message "Team 7 has requested reinforcements, they had an encounter with Zabuza Momochi and need assistance and since we are already near wave county we will be able to help." Yamato ended and decided to run to the destination with Koen following him.

A month had passed since he became a genin and during that time Koen was able to figure out a little of Yamato's expressions and right now he was a bit mad but orders are orders so all they had to do was follow them.

Land of Waves

Natsumi, Sakura and Sasuke were at their clients house, Kakashi was asleep in one of the guest rooms due to chakra exhaustion. It was already nightfall when they heard a knock at the door.

Yamato and Koen were standing outside waiting when a young woman with black hair and black eyes opened the door "Can I help you?" She asked "We're shinobi from Konoha, I'm Yamato and this is Koen my apprentice. We received a letter asking for assistance when we were on our way back to the village." Yamato spoke.

The woman looked to the side and saw a brooding look on Sasuke who just nodded but who really caught her eye was the blonde girl, she looked like she was about to explode will happiness, she was so giddy and kept nodding at her to let the two in.

The woman smiled at the two in front of her house before stepping aside "My name is Tsunami, please come in." As soon as those words left her mouth Natsumi practically blurred towards Koen hugging him, the poor boy wasn't ready and he couldn't keep his balance as she collided into him making him fall.

"I missed you I missed you I missed you!" She squealed into his chest as Koen wrapped his arms around her "I missed you too Natsumi, now can you please get up you do know we're on the floor right." He said with a smile "Oh sorry." Natsumi answered with a sheepish look and a small blush as she got up.

Tsunami couldn't help but giggle at the girl's actions "So she likes him." She thought, she would obviously know since she was that young and Natsumi's actions were a dead giveaway, the girl was just too giddy and immediately lit up as soon as she knew he was here.

"Did I miss something?" Came a voice from the stairs in the house, Koen turned to see Kakashi walking down the stairs with crutches "Nothing much Kakashi-senpai." Yamato replied and Kakashi merely nodded and turned to his team.

Sasuke and Sakura were calm while Natsumi was beaming as she stood next to Koen "What are you so happy about Natsumi?" Kakashi asked "Is it really that obvious?" Natsumi asked and everyone nodded making her sigh "Fine, is really wrong to miss someone?" She asked "Who exactly?" "Koen." Natsumi mumbled his name

Koen stared at her for a minute before understanding what she meant "Wait, don't you guys stay in the same house?" Sakura asked, it was true ever since Natsumi had that 'accident' happen Mira practically persuaded her into staying at the Senju compound even Hiruzen agreed to it "Well yeah but he's not always at home and when he does come back he's tired and then he leaves early in the morning." Natsumi basically whined.
