Finnick's shadow hover over me for a moment before he leaves,

"Hey, Criss," he says, "Good job, you're a natural swimmer."

I bite my lips

"Thanks."

How the hell am I supposed live with this lie? How long will it last?

I give him a lame smile.

"Don't worry. The first few days of swim classes are always exhausting and hard." he laughs.

I roll my eyes playfully.

"Just get a mug of warm cocoa and you'll feel much better," Finnick continues, "I need to go now... so if you'll excuse me..."

"Sure. I'll excuse you." I replied in a naughtily haughty voice.

He grins and strides away. I stare at his back. Sigh. I wish the class was longer.

I climb up the ladder to the diving board. Falling in love doesn't mean I have to give up my dream of being an Olympic diver.

I dive, putting all my emotions in. What if he likes me, but is too afraid to say so? I flip in mid air. What if we end up together? I do a double flip, with a shy grin creeping up my face.

Gently, my body emerges into water and I its cool arms around me. Perfect.

I am part of the water. I will win this swim gala. Nothing will stop me.
