I watched another bottle roll around on the ground. It made it's way to my feet causing me to push it away. I glanced up and saw my now drunken mother. "Raven, I knew we should have aborted you. You are a low life, useless daughter!" She yelled at me and threw a bottle at me. I ducked and it hit the wall. I looked down at the ground trying to block out her words.

"Do you hear me?!" She yelled. "Yes, mother. I hear you." I said nodding. "Good, now go clean up the house! My date is going to be here any minute and I don't want to look like a slob like you!" She ordered and I nodded. I started picking up the glass.

My name is Raven, Raven Colts. I don't live the life people think I do. My parents had me when my mom was 15 and my dad 18. Everything was great until 3 years ago. My dad drowned and my mom got into drinking. Being that my dad left us money if he died, mother used it to buy a house. I don't know how she got this nice of a house. Father didn't leave us that much but still some to get by. She does sell her body so that is probably where most of the money comes from. At first glace, we look like the normal family. But when you look closer, we are broken.

After cleaning the house, the door bell rang. "Raven, leave now!" She hissed and I nodded. "Coming, wait a minute!" She added going to the door. I hid in my room, the place I have gotten used to. I laid down on my bed and heard the faint talking. Giggling could be heard which means she is flirting with him. If only he knew what he had gotten into. I rolled over on my back and stared at the ceiling. "I can't keep living this way." I sighed and tried getting some sleep.
