Chapter 1: the accords

"11 Wakandan's were among those killed during a confrontation between the avengers and a group of mercenaries in Lagos, Nigeria last month." I stare at my tv feeling a pit at the bottom of my stomach.

My dad had already told me what happened, he likes to inform me on missions since he doesn't let me go on any.

I hear Wanda's name on the tv, Wanda was my best friend and listing to them put all the blame on her broke my heart. I dreaded to know how she was feeling right now but my dad told me to give them space until the situation is calmed down.

"Oh and apparently he's brought a guest!" I hear vision shout from down the hall.

I climb off my bed peaking my head out of the door to hear the rest, "The Secretary of State" I hear vision answer Wanda as he walks out of her room.

I shut my door slowly with a 'click' so he wouldn't hear me. I put my back against the door sliding down the tk floor running my hands threw my hair. I let out a sigh.

I sat on my bed in my thoughts thinking about what could happen then I hear a knock, my dad peaks his head threw the door.

"hey kiddo" he smiles clicking his fingers against his hands. I give a smile back "hey dad"

"I need a favour" I nod my head looking at him as he sits at the end of the bed next to me.

"I need u to stay in your room tonight, we have a visitor and u well know the rules with outsides" he puts his hand on my shoulder.

"got it" I knew the routine if anyone outside the avengers is here I can't leave my room, my dad couldn't risk my identity being exposed.

he gets up about to walk out "your a good kid m" I smile at him.

I flop my head down and grab my phone scrolling threw Tiktok to release my boredom.

Time skip

It's been an hour and my dad text me the all clear that I can officially leave my room.

I walk down to the seating area seeing all the avengers sitting down while Sam and Rhodey are standing with there arms crossed. They look anxious.

I see my dad standing at the kitchen area, he looks mad, he's rambling about a kid. I knew it wasn't good when he mentioned Sokovia.

I look over at Wanda as her face drops head hearing about her home country. They don't see me standing by the door I just stay quiet not wanting to startle them.

"We need to be put in check" when I hear that I felt a feeling coming over me, scared I think, I just know it wasn't a good feeling.

"We're no better than the bad guys" my dad says raising his voice. I don't like it when he rambles, when Tony stark rambles it's either when he's being snarky or angry and in that moment I know it wasn't snarky.

Steve and Rhodey start arguing I just keep quiet. I wanted to know what was going on and I know they wouldn't tell me if they knew I was there. They treat me like a kid. Yes I am a kid but a kid who can melt vibranuim with her hands!!

"If we sign this we surrender our right to choose" when Steve said that I knew what exactly was going on.

"The government wants to control us don't they" I say from the door, my dad looks up at me and nods then ushers his hard for me to sit down with them. I hesitantly but quickly sit down, if my dad wanted me to know what was going on, I knew it was bad.

Steve and Tony start talking about what's going to happen if the government control the avengers.

I just sit there in aw finally being aloud to be involved in a conversation like this.

"You're saying they'll come of me." Wanda says abruptly "we would protect you" vision follows with, I decide to speak up "we wouldn't let anyone touch you Wanda" I say looking her dead in the eyes, she gives me a smile then looks down at her hands.

Nat says something I wouldn't expect from her, she starts agreeing with my dad talking about letting the government controls us? "Woah Woah aren't u the same women who told the government to kiss her ass a few years ago" I say giggling, my dad giggles with us and Natasha just gives me this look as in saying oh shush.

"language M" I hear Steve raise his voice a little, Natasha sighs and continues to give her view on the subject.

my dad being himself says "focus up, I'm sorry did I just mishear you or did you agree with me?" "I want to take it back now" Nat replies giving Tony a side look "Too Late" I laugh

I look up and Steve walks out the room, we all look up confused but let him leave. After he leaves me dad pulls me away and fills me in with everything.

I go back to my room thinking about what just happened.

so many emotions rush over me. Okay so 1 my dad finally let me sit in on a conversation about super hero shit!

2 the avengers is now being controlled by the Sokovia accords but not all of them are signing.

My dad obviously signed so did Rhodey, vision and Nat signed, Clint decided to retire and Wanda is TBD. My dad said I could sign if I wished but my father signed and to be honest I don't want to sign I don't agree with any of it and by not signing and siding with Steve it would cause mayhem, lol I used my own name, anyways I decided to go with Wanda and go TBD.

Time skip

Nat is at the signing of the accords and I'm stuck in my room scrolling threw Netflix.

I decided on watching teen wolf, my phone buzzes.

"hey bitch!" I hear my best friend Laura scream threw the phone, Iv known Laura for years and she knows about all my secret identity's.

her mum used to work for my dad until she got cancer and well u know. "hello Morgan! How are u! I hope your okay since your family is now being run by the government" I reply with in a mocking tone.

"Shhh I was getting to that" she replies while giggling a little and I follow. our giggles soon fade when she follows with "so it's true then" "yeh" I reply with bluntly looking down at my sheets fiddling with them.

"Listen your dad is friken iron man girl! Everything will be okay" Laura reply's with trying to break the awkwardness.

"your right" I sigh "Laura I'm going to go practice in the gym" I pause for a little "you know just distract myself"

"okay well if u need me I'm always here for u m" "thanks L love you" "love u to" I end the call and go to the towers gym and practice my combat skills.
