'Beep, beep' my eyes slowly opened adjusting to the bright light.
I shielded my eyes with my hand and noticed there was a wire connected into me. I was in a bed which was hard and cold.
I looked around -a hospital?- I moved my leg and there was something there.
Looking down a lady with brown hair, head down on her crossed arms-mum- i tried to get up and there was a cringed at the pain in my left shoulder.
"Danni? Danni!?" My mum woke up grabbing my hands, she tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear. "I'm so sorry- you were -I -Its been soo long.
You were missing for two weeks!" She stuttered.
"Mum? Ma! I'm fine. I forgive you.Where's Jem?" Her grey eyes exactly like mine looked at me in same way I did to her -like mother, like daughter-
"Jem? Oh, the young man who saved you?" I nodded. "He was here in the morning but he left for now.. He'll be back. He's been refusing to leave for three days already, I convinced him to get some air for now" I nodded.
"Um, Ma I'm sorry. I shouldn't of left, it was horror. You were right. I'll apply for a different college and we'll be close again. I miss you mum!" I hugged her and she hugged me bak.
"By the way, Roses for you" she smiled giving me a bunch of wrapped roses. It read: i'll be back soon- Jem. I smiled. There was a knock on the door.
"Miss, I need to give you your medicine" I nodded as she injected me with a pain killer that made me sleepy.
