Chapter 1

  It was a normal evening, my mom and dad were having some discussions among themselves. In the meanwhile, I was gossiping with my friend Mi-Cha. I am Kim Eney. My father Kim Nam-Yeon who is the owner of the famous Kim's company, then my mother Kim Cho-Hae who is a normal house-wife.

After a long time of gossiping, I heard a noise from downstairs, so I went down to see. When I came down, I saw a selcouth situation between my parents. I went towards them and they gave me a very serious look which made me a bit nervous. I sat on the sofa and said what happened.

After a short silence, my dad spoke "Darling, we have a very important thing to talk about with you." At that moment I was totally blank and curious. My dad spoke in a very polite way "Dear, listen, we had decided that you will be getting married in the next five to six months." Just after hearing this, I felt a bit of pain inside my heart.

Then my mother spoke "Actually Eney your father has been struggling with his company for the last few months, and you know that your father had done a lot of hard work to bring this company to this state. We don't want this company to breakdown in just a few months. SO, for this company we want you to get married. And guess what your future husband already agreed to it, and now it's your turn." After all these talkings I sign and nodded to them as I don't want to see my dad struggling all the time since my childhood. So, I went upstairs.

Before I could reach my room my tears started to build up in my eyes and soon my vision got blurred. I quickly ran towards my room and locked the door. I threw myself on the bed, put my head between the pillows, and started to cry. During that time I was not able to think anything except what my parents told me just now. I am always an introverted person and eccedentesiast one too, who never tell her secrets to anyone, except one and only best friend Mi-Cha. I was wondering that what will happen to me if I agree to this marriage. Will I be able to stay happy? Suddenly the idea popped into my head of going out to my favorite place and get some fresh air so that I could at least calm down. My favorite place is Seokchon Lake. I quickly wore a black hood and wore a mask so that no one can recognize me.

After reaching my destination I sat on a bench near the river and looked at the ciel. I clearly remembered that the moon was shining on the water lightly. Suddenly a tear left my eye. I wiped it quickly and started to rever about my marriage and my future while looking at the alluring lake. After a short period of time when I looked at my watch it was already 9 p.m. I stood up and gulped hard because of my mom's angriness. I ran to my home as quickly as it was possible but after reaching home my mom told me nothing, which was so much astonishing.

 I decided to skip my meal and started doing my night routine. After finishing it I was about to call Mi-Cha but stopped and thought of telling her tomorrow. Before going to bed my dad reminds me about the dinner party tomorrow and reveled a surprise. The surprise was that we are going to meet my future husband tomorrow at the dinner party. Just after my dad's existence was gone, I told to myself "What else will my life play with me. I guess, up to this much suffering, my life is not entertained at all."...
