"oh yeah? tell me why you left then." san replied.
you stared at him. "fine. I'll tell you. I left because I was embarrassed at myself." you said, tears forming in your eyes.
suddenly, san's eyes were full of concern. "why were you embarrassed at yourself?" he whispered to you.
"because you were an amazing person. even though we had known eachother just for a few hours, I really liked our friendship. i wanted to take it slow. but I had to kiss you back and that led to something else, so I was embarrassed at myself." you said, tears streaming down your face.
san came up to you and hugged you. you buried your face in his chest, sobbing. "y/n, thats nothing to be embarrassed about. I'm sorry if I rushed things." san replied.
you looked up at him. "its okay, I guess I wanted it too. I'm sorry for leaving you that day."
san smiled. "it's okay. I forgive you." he said, earning a smile from you.
"how about this- we can start again? we already know almost everything about eachother, I think we can go back to being friends." he chuckled.
"sounds good. but won't everybody start talking when they realize that we're close?" you asked.
"just tell them we're childhood friends." he winked, making you laugh. "now go eat, break is almost done." san said, pushing you towards the door.
"okay I'm going, bye." you smiled. san waved back, and saw you walk out of the door.
god, you did things to his heart. san was still in love with you, he wasn't able to forget you since the day you both met. but you didn't know that.
time skip, 6 months later~ ateez finally debuted, and you were so happy for them. they were one of the most talented and amazing people you've ever met.
as for san, you both became best friends. you also grew closer to the other members too.
one day, san was walking around the dorm restlessly. you had just sent a picture of a new dress you bought to him, and he thought you were the most beautiful thing ever. he had to do it. he had to ask you out. his feelings were getting way ahead of him.
"sannie, what happened?" san's roommate, yunho asked walking in.
"um, its nothing." san said. "it doesn't seem like nothing. come on, tell me. you know you can trust me right?" yunho replied back smiling.
san sat down on the bed, opposite of yunho. "yeah, I know. fine I'll tell you. but I need your advice on it." he said.
yunho nodded, asking him to continue.
"I like y/n." san sighed. yunho's eyes widened. "you like y/n? wow. are you going to tell her?" he asked.
"I don't know. should I? I've liked her for a long time and I don't think I can stay quiet any longer." san replied.
yunho stood up. "then tell her! you've liked her for a long time anyways. who's there to stop you?" he laughed.
san stood up and smiled. "you know what? I think I'm going to tell her. thanks yunho." he said, hugging his best friend.
san took out his phone and texted your number.

45 minutes later~ san arrived at your apartment. he was finally going to tell you. with his heart beating, he knocked the door.
you opened it and let him in. seeing you made him have butterflies in his stomach.
san went inside and sat on the couch in the living room. you closed the door and followed, sitting next to him.
"so what did you want to tell me?" san asked you. "uh, no. I'm not going first." you replied. "uh, no. I'm not going first either." san mocked. "fine I'll go first." you said, giving up.
"so remember when I told you that me and wooyoung were getting closer?" you said.
san rolled his eyes. "of course I do. I told him to back off. your my best friend and only mine." he teased.
you laughed at his reaction. "well I never told you this but.." "but..?" san asked.
"I like wooyoung! and he asked me out today! how amazing is that!" you squealed at him happily.
san's heart sank. "y-you liked w-wooyoung?" he asked, as his heart shattered into a million pieces.
