Chapter 10: Amortentia

Hi guys! Since I don't know when the uk will be out of lockdown Im actually getting quite consistant with this. I will hopefully be actually updating it at least once a week since I actually have the time now! And yes I know I always say that but this time I actually will. It had been about 3 months since me and Luna became friends...

I couldn't cope any longer i was fully in love with this girl....

But i wasnt sure she wanted to be anything more than friends...

No matter how hard i tried to get her out of my head i couldnt.And of course the 2 people i absolutely couldn't keep it from was Draco and Pansy.They knew something was on my mind within a week.So of course i told them everything.

They helped me through it then but to be fair it just got worse and here i am now i guess.So i had officially decided that i needed to tell Luna. Of course i couldn't just do it, i had to ask for help. So i went to Draco's dorm , knowing that him and pansy were in there.

"Hi guys i really need your help again"

Pansy tapped the chair next to her signalling for me to sit next to her.So i did and i just burst out crying.

"Oh Lexi don't cry, what's happened?! This isnt like you at all"

"I'm sorry Pansy i can't help it.."

Then Draco walked over with a tray of tea and my favourite biscuits to cheer me up.I thanked them both for bieng so sweet and just hugged them. I hugged them so tight as i truely was so grateful to have such amazing friends.

"Ok lex are you gonna tell me and Pans why your crying?!"

"okwellithinkiminlovewithlunaandidontknowhowtotellhersoireallyneedyourhelp"

I just blurted it all out without even taking a second to breathe. They looked so confused for a second , but then they both looked at each other and just laughed.I was so upset and i was kinda mad they were laughing because i had just opened up and they were laughing at me..

"Alexis Lestrange have you not learned from your cousin over here that its better to just be straight forward with people!"

Pansy pointed over to draco as she regained seriousness a lot quicker than him who was still laughing.

"Okay, Okay sorry but it was funny she forgot to breathe! " Pansy gave him a death stare. "Alright jeesh i said i was sorry. Well anyways Lexi she's right you know"

"Ok then what should i say?!"

He carried on to tell me that i should ask her to meet me in the room of requirement or the astronomy tower.This sounded so cliché but it was the best (and only) idea i had. So i planned out what i would say and then ran off to potions. Luckily me and Luna were partners in potions so i could quite easily ask her. We have every class together apart from DADA and Herbology. It was very annoying but at least i was in most of her classes.Anyways so i was in Potions and we were making Amortentia..

I guess this was the moment when i would find out if she liked me back.I did want to wait until we were on the astronomy tower so there was nobody else around but i guess this way i could see the absolute truth. We followed Slughorn's recipe and successfully made the potion.

"umm Luna what do you smell?"

She turned to smell the potion then her eyes widened in shock.

"I smell hmm.. books, apples and perfume; what do you smell lexi?"

I took a big whiff and immediatly recognised who i smelt.

"ink,tea and lavender hmm i like the smell of lavender"

She laughed for a minute before she realised that i smelt her.

Then of course perfect timing the bell rang. I told Luna to follow me and we went to the room of requirement so that we could talk about the amortentia.

"umm Luna i think i smelt you..."

She just blushed and said "I think i smelt you too! But wait what does that mean for the 2 of us?"

"Well Luna i've liked you since the day i first saw you in the great hall"

"Oh wow ive liked you for a really long time too Lexi , buti was a bit nervous to tell you"

We both just laughed and we stayed talking in the room of requirement for hours.

Before we knew it, it was almost 10pm so i walked with luna all the way to the ravenclaw dorms and said goodnight as i just had to go and see Dray and Pansy.

I ran all the way to Draco's dorm thinking that him and pansy were waiting for me like they normally are so I grabbed my spare key out of my pocket and opened the door....

My jaw dropped to the floor...

Did i just see Draco Malfoy kissing a mudblood...
