IT WAS TIME TO FINISH MAKING THE FINAL PREPARATIONS for Shoto and y/n's big engagement announcement to the kingdom of Japan. Almost half of the whole country would be there, so everything had to be perfect...
Perfect enough for Monoma and y/n to rat out the king.
Shoto and y/n had to seperate ways earlier that morning, as he spent his time with his father and brothers talking to his brigade about safety measures. While y/n got to help Queen Rei and Princess Fuyumi with decorations.
"So this is where the event will take place?" Y/n awed as her and the Todoroki women stepped onto a grand stone balcony, a long narrow piece of land stretching out all the way into the city. There were maids and knights setting up a perimeter with fences, horses, and soldiers.
"Yep! People from town can just walk down this road and watch you and Shoto from below! It'll be packed with citizens!" Fuyumi beamed, but y/n felt her stomach flip with anxiety. "H-Heh, yeah, I can't wait to have all eyes on me."
"You'll do amazing, sweetheart." Rei assured, hugging y/n by the shoulders. "I'm so happy my little Shoto chose such an amazing girl like you!"
As Rei fondled over her, y/n gazed down at the exit of the palace, Shoto leading his brigade outside. It looked as though he was giving them orders about how tomorrow was going to look like, explaining what to do in case any citizens tried to break in.
One of the knights lifted his helmet, turning back to look at y/n. It was Monoma, giving her a coy wink that said, the plan is in motion now, Sparrow.
Y/n gave him a certain expression, which he read as, sure seems like it, huh?
That's when she turned her attention to Shoto, him giving y/n a small wave and a charming smile. She immediately went weak, her returning a loving smile to the prince. I really am falling for that man...sue me.
